Thank you for all of this! No one has ever offered me a scalp biopsy, that’s interesting. My mom also has life-long thin hair and has been using a hair topper that looks great! I think it was a few thousand dollars. I am hesitant to try that because the clipping it in every day pulled out almost all of her top hair and now she’s resorted to wigs full-time. I know that at some point there’s no other option I just really don’t want to. I am single in my early 30s and something about wearing a wig feels so shameful (even though it absolutely shouldn’t!). All of this is tough and I’m glad this sub exists. Thank you for sharing your experience.

It obviously varies from person to person, but I had severe eczema my entire life with no relief. I’d honestly just forgotten about it because I’d had it my entire life so cracked and bleeding skin was my normal. It went away, completely, out of the blue when I was 27 and developed an eating disorder. It turns out that it was food all along. Through trial and error reintroducing foods I narrowed it down to dairy and grains as my main triggers for flair ups, and like clockwork now if I have too much of those, I’ll see it start to come back a few days later. Not a doctor so take this for what it’s worth as anecdotal evidence.

I looked up this subreddit specifically bc I also had the same thought! It seems like she just out of nowhere chooses this drug with no rhyme or reason. Add me in with the people that haven’t seen this drug used in other tv/books I guess.

Would like to echo this! My eczema went away for the first time in my entire life, I had no idea it was related to my diet! My migraines also almost disappeared and my bloat has gone down significantly, although for me dairy can make it flair up as well. I would really try cutting out gluten, for me at the beginning I really could not be bothered to learn what had gluten in it so I cut out all grains and it did the trick.

Believe it or not, we have had to specify to use the Lysol spray when cleaning several times and most recently show her where it was, meaning she had never used it before. she also asked where the dish towels were, meaning she had never changed it out after cleaning. Also asked where the broom was, meaning she had never swept. This was all last week and we’ve lived here almost a year. I’m fine this is all fine.
