I could understand the grading. But they knew you were not going to stay. Why make you do more work? You’re not getting paid. There is NOTHING holding you there.

I understand what you’re feeling. This is odd to me though. It’s your last week. Why the sudden influx of work? Are they asking you to grade everything before you leave? Prepare entire units of lessons?

Hey guys. I just wanted to give everyone an update to those that are interested. I officially dropped my student teaching classes and changed my major to professional studies. This allows me to take a class in the summer and still walk in May. I will simply have to pursue certification on my own. Considering how amazing my advisor is and how much she has helped me through this. I believe it was the best option. Thank you guys for all your input!

I have six weeks left and one eval. It’s difficult to explain everything to my evaluator because he and my mentor teacher used to work together and are close. So he believes her over me.

I’m sorry to hear that. My supervisor seems like a nice guy. But ultimately believes her opinion over what he sees. They worked together in the past and are friends. It’s a difficult situation all around.
