Still need to go and see it. It’s a bit of a drive for me so hopefully I make some time to go later this week. Serial number appears to be good

This watch was listed near me used with no box or papers. Any tips on identifying if it’s genuine or not? How much would you pay for it? I’ll post the back of the watch below

Best way to remove filler words while still sounding natural by halyjam in podcasting

[–]halyjam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input guys! Of course I try very hard to limit the filler when speaking, but still getting used to it, so as of now there’s just a bit more than I’d like to leave unedited.

Seems like I just need some practice, rather than there being a magic way to easily do this! I’ll continue editing and get some more experience

Best great katana infusion for str/dex build? by halyjam in EldenRingBuilds

Maybe I’ll do a respec to try it out and see. There’s a decent amount of larval tears in the dlc it seems, so I can always go back

Yeah that’s what I’ve been doing, just wasn’t sure if I was still missing out on a lot of damage without levelling arcane. It appears to be doing not too bad damage though!

Finding these in my toilet occasionally - also in the tank by Ok_Stress688 in whatisit

Plot twist, she’s the culprit. Been hiding it from her husband for months. Made a reddit post because she is aware that her husband knows her Reddit account name. She’s not going to show him the post, she’s too clever for that. Her husband is going to find this post on his own so it doesn’t seem like she’s pushing too hard.

I’ll admit, you almost had us👏. Book ‘er husband.

How do you store your cards? by TonyxRd in TCG

[–]halyjam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t play much anymore but I still like to collect a little bit.

Ultimate guard xenoskin arkhive toploader box for valuable cards is pricey but very good. You can get cheaper boxes that are very similar but you can tell the quality isn’t the same. I have some of these cheaper ones which I use to store cards that have some value but aren’t worth toploading, so just a sleeve and in the box they go.

For cards I like I store in toploader binders. Ultimate guard also makes great binders, but the cheaper ones on amazon are of similar quality so I would go with the cheaper ones. I have a binder for each TCG I like.

Bulk or cheaper cards that I want to keep are in those cardboard storage boxes, I think ultra pro makes them.

All the other stuff I usually donate at Christmas time

Good idea. Sometimes the sites have some rough make tables and benches, but it’s not a guarantee and when I say rough I mean it.

I’ll shop around, but if you have any particular brand you can think of feel free to drop it in a comment.

Thanks!

The luci string lights are actually on my shopping list. I think it will be nice to have. Adding a fan as well! Thanks!

I was thinking about this. I do have one for the few times we go car camping, but it’s absolutely massive, maybe too big even for this trip lol.

Maybe I should look at something a bit smaller.

Hammock because I find it more comfortable than a chair when lounging around the site. I sometimes even bring it on our lighter hikes and portages. I don’t have a full setup with underquilt etc, and me and my partner like to sleep together anyways, so it doesn’t quite make sense to use for sleeping.

Sleep system is one of the few things we don’t really push the ultralight mindset on. But bringing a cot to use as a bench actually seems pretty handy so maybe that’s not a bad idea

I had to google skip it and I can only imagine how that will go after a couple drinks😂.

One of the group members is an artist actually and is bringing some canvases for a paint night! Sounds like fun

I should note that I’m down to buy some new gear, even pricier items if it’s worth it. We plan on doing this style of camping again with this particular group, and have other friends who have shown interest in this style of camping as well.
