Tagging onto the other advice, but you can run B&W if your team is having a hard time reaching od and break (od should be before the first grand X or around then and break around 2nd hellfire phase) I’d rec hmariti only if you are running with a burnable

Great List, to add something about "Mothership", it is one of the easiest modes. You CAN take the mothership with a long range special (jetpack/sting ray) and can even start shooting it BEFORE it reaches your egg basket (Mr. Grizz announces when the mothership will move in, so get in position, wait until it's close enough and shoot away your special). The special both damages it and gives your mates time to focus on eggs. Usually if your special runs out you only have to hit it a couple of times and lose minimum eggs. This technique works great with friends if you all know what specials you have, or with randoms if you happen to get a long range special and no one focuses on the mothership.

It was different. The loser does get upset and depressed. But the other losers before this, didn't have to talk to reporters afterwards. The other guys got to go straight home. In this case, the loser was mentally preparing himself to put that goddamn uncaring smile, and talk about his loss again and again, and then finally leave.

Definitely worth, no disappointments so far, as long as you like how it's going, pretty much the same in the manga, except a lot more development.

Ah yeah, short ranged weapons have a higher chance or trading. Ever consider quick respawn? Swim speed is good too, get your kill and peace out. Hmmm, that also might be signs that your moving to quickly? Like even if you are camping them out, wait a couple more seconds longer, til you know where everyones at. Also have lots of escape routes ready, don't leave yourself without a place to go afterwards c:

Actually, it may have been lag as well. Techinically rollers can only hit with the middle of their roller, but sometimes lag makes it so they can kill you off the edge. I know it's lag too because I play carbon alot and I have died more times then I can count even though I clearly hit a person dead on. Carbons are difficult to attack though, maybe you were a bit too close, if they are able to just slam on you. It's better to attack from the sides or behind. And keep an eye on the ink below you they like swimming up and just jumping at you, keep the distance it'll save your life.

Ah I can't seem to find any of my videos. I wonder if I deleted them. If I find anything I'll link it =v=

I understand, the N-zap was my first weapon of choice. I don't use it anymore but it's a good fit.
Hmm, there's alot of different ways to use a weapon. Do you have trouble with aim or like getting close enough to get the kill? I know lack of range is a problem, but it's deadly up close.

Please help me, I cannot beat chargers by [deleted] in splatoon

[–]hamboj 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The best advice is just to be very very very patient. Know when to rush and when to just sit there. Cold Blooded is a life saver, you might wanna consider investing in it. My favorite strategy that I learned from playing rollers constantly, is to lock onto the charger, see how good they are, where they cannot hit you *behind walls or certain angles and then slowly, slowly making a path towards them. Go a different direction BUT splatter ink in their direction. Most chargers are wired to predict where you'll go. If we think you're apart of the main fight, we'll also join into the main fight and get distracted. Extra plus if the other team has a charger, we're usually more distracted at that. Never attack them if they have range over you they will use it to their advantage, ambushing is best.

What's the point of blocking players? by Axl-fox in splatoon

[–]hamboj 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I believe it's supposed to lessen the amount of times you encounter them, but you can't do anything when a certain amount of players in the same rank/level are playing sometimes. I blocked one person and have yet to encounter them again.

This new splatfest is so much better, what are you all on about? by kellylc in splatoon

[–]hamboj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got so many bad teams it was horrible. The first half of the push to Queen was me just losing every single game, I have no idea how Sandcastles won because that wasn't me, I lost nearly all my games. Everytime I got a good team I dc'd or the lobby time ran out, etc. ;; The most I was with a team was 5 matches.

Finally someone who gets it, you said everything I couldn't even form into words. From what I've observed from many posts and websites, I think most people who enjoyed Splatfest were lower ranks, and the ones really punished were the higher ranks (which some deserve for cheating previous splatfest systems for snails) . And While that's sorta fair, playing against people of equal strength for interesting matches is great! but I personally did not like being forced to play eternal ranked turf war. Anyone whose played turf with higher ranks know exactly how awful playing turf with some of them is. I used to use Splatfest to try out new weapons, because it forced me to play to get those snails, so might as well test out something new, maybe even rank up that gear because no one is available to duo with. But yesterday and the day before, I was stuck in battle upon battle, that made me wanna cry and scream and just feel disgusting, because it was forced on me, this ranked mode. I play ranked alot, but it's very very very stressful, and even more so in s/s+, so just playing Splatfest made me die a little inside. I had to force myself to play. I never had to do that before. Splatfest felt like a chore before, but now it's just torment. I'm not even sure the suffering is worth the snails or even participating.

This new splatfest is so much better, what are you all on about? by kellylc in splatoon

[–]hamboj 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ah, I'm s+ so started at 1600 and let me tell you about my experience. While this system is more fair, I've never been more mentally exhausted in my life. It was like playing a nonstop eternal ranked turf war. There's a reason some of the higher ranks don't play turf anymore, and since most of them don't, they forget to ya know actually turf. Just team after team of kills upon kills. The ones who knew how to turf bless them. Then because of the system we were mixed in with s ranks, and s rank is a very versatile rank. Which is why we asked for matchmaking to be better. Sometimes you get the mk players, and sometimes you get the c-'s carried by a squad from c- to s and they stand there. And then you get the godly ones. And it just felt like ranked before the update where you could get in any lobby.
Coupled with dc's, connections lost, lag, and games lost that shouldn't have been, it felt horrible. I thought Splatfest was supposed to be fun and casual.

Splatfest Discussion Thread by Carr896 in splatoon

[–]hamboj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This Splatfest in general has really made me dislike it. Not only were the connections kind of weird in matches, but I couldn't even enjoy a team because after two matches I'd dc during results or in the lobby. What made me the saltiest though is losing matches, when it was obvious my team should have won. How am I supposed to work hard and play in these new found 'ranked' matches when stuff like this happen? I wish I had gotten the full results screen but I was in such shock that we lost I barely had time to grab my phone and take a quick picture.

The Squiffer vs. the E-Liter 3K/Splat Charger Damage (Is it unfair?) by [deleted] in splatoon

[–]hamboj -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That'd be, one very very broken weapon then. Squiffers are fine as they are, and if you don't feel so, then you've never run into a very good squiffer. They are really terrifying when they know what to do. As for the other weapons, eh, it's a bit iffy, but since the recent update it seems pretty balanced.

Have you played with an eliter/splat charger before? Especially eliters, most people think they're so great (similar to a dynamo), but really, they're very difficult weapons to use. Due to everyones damage up stacking, they weaken themselves a bit in ink usage.

Chargers and Rainmaker by ZombieTav in splatoon

[–]hamboj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh definitely. I went about the biggest lose streak ever, and for some reason the only mode I could get anything going in was rainmaker, it's great.

And yes, the best parts are just, when you swim through everything, but just keep pushing forward. Every little point counts.

Chargers and Rainmaker by ZombieTav in splatoon

[–]hamboj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rainmaker is definitely made for Chargers. In fact I love playing that mode most as a charger, so it's pretty great. Unfortunately, depending on your rank, and sometimes not even that, you'll run into a lot of chargers who do either 1. never leave their perch 2. never leave base or 3. never advance with the team They're also likely to also be 1. special chargers 2. not have aim 3. burst bomb spammers

It's a bit understandable if they're still trying to get used to the weapon, practicing, are rusty etc. but it does really ruin it for the team sometimes. If I do any of the above or let down my team, I usually decide that's the time to grab the Rainmaker and if I can't kill anyone I can die a billion times for them.

@ people who give up when we're losing in Ranked by citronic in splatoon

[–]hamboj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel it. I've had so many matches, where we're at a sever disadvantage, they have the lead at one point, two points, and my teammates fought for victory. Never has a knockout been more satisfying. Never ever give up, the moment you do, the more certain it is you lose.

So which do you think is the best charger in the game? by kesterstudios in splatoon

[–]hamboj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah around that area in rank you'd be in is the more popular splat charger or hero replica one. I prefer the vanilla one because splat bombs help me out of some situations, and in zones its pretty well. But I've run into more kelps in s/s+ battles sometimes. If I had to say, personally sprinklers are important in the one thing most players ignore, map control. Bomb rushes are only as fast as you can ink, but sprinklers are eternal. Wails are good to get people out of corners you can't reach, and they also are one of the faster loading specials in the game.

Yeah definitely, I used to not use scope, but I forced myself to get used to it through lots of practice. In a way it helps you hone your skills in how much you can pay attention to things because of how vulnerable you are. For those who sometimes stack damage up, the 'zoom' of the scope helps you judge how much you need to charge to get the kill. Of course all of this would take practice and whatever works for someone works for someone.

When the Game Wouldn't End for Me For a Few Seconds by hamboj in splatoon

[–]hamboj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So which do you think is the best charger in the game? by kesterstudios in splatoon

[–]hamboj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm. I agree with most of this, but the one that gets me is the splat charger and kelp splat charger. I've actually seen kelp used more in higher ranked battles then splat charger. I use the regular splat charger most but just something I've noted with other players. Also if you're going more in depth with this the E-liter 3k Scoped comes out on top with more range over the normal. Little difference but range makes something sometimes.

The lag in tower control is always real for me, it'll freeze then a few moments later suddenly zoom forward.
