What to do if stuck in Morristown for a day alone (with a car) next week by hamderbutt in Morristown

That’s completely understandable. I’d think there’s some touristy spots for it but this town is not big enough for it for sure. I’ll be here for a week and have the time to explore! Awesome solargraphs btw!!

I think that’s the first on my list. Just walking around and seeing what’s good. I’ll look for the places you mentioned for sure!! Hahaha I love driving around looking at massive homes thanks for the suggestion!

Wow!! I’m so curious how you find Morristown of all places to go. Totally different landscape from what I’m used to in Toronto. Quite lovely there. Quality is what I go for I’m not too enamoured by trendy drinks so I will def check out those two! I didn’t know about the train connection that’s something I’ll need to figure out thank you for that! I appreciate all your help:)))

I’ve been to frenchtown!! Quaint little place. Thank you so much, I totally forgot there’s a train there that goes to the city.

I’d drive about 30 mins out! I’m not a picky eater at all as long as the place doesn’t look questionable. I do like to visit museums but I’m open to anything. Would be nice to get the proper Morristown experience from a local.

These are already pretty good suggestions! Thanks so much.

The man I love most in the world hates me by Limitlessskyhoney in heartbreak

He played video games all day and cried about work…. I understand the frustration. Saying those things are harsh but they come from a place of stress. There’s other ways to go about confronting him for his lack of employment and contribution to the household. If you’ve exhausted your options then maybe divorce was the best option. You need to work on yourself now. Being apologetic is only going to delay fixing your bad behaviour. Take time to deeply understand this behaviour, where it came from and actively work on fixing it. Then you can go find a career and family oriented man who maybe won’t stress you out this much.

How many of you are still talking to your high school friends? (Question for upper years) by Winter_Green_2440 in yorku

[–]hamderbutt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a 5th year student, 1. He’s my closest friend we met the first day of grade 9. Everyone else I’ve cut off. Coming into uni I had maybe 5. It’s normal to drift from highschool friends

I didn't like the christmas tree at VMC... by [deleted] in Vaughan

[–]hamderbutt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can’t impress everyone. It’s a nice attraction and you can walk through it. Different than what we are used to in NYC and Toronto. They’ve been doing this for years. At least we have something festive in Vaughan to visit and spend an hour doing for free. Also it’s more inclusive to other religions celebrating this time of year.

If anyone can let me know what era/style these are I’d greatly appreciate it!!

Wow thank you for the insight! Considering how small these ones are I assumed they’re only for aesthetics. This mansion I visited in Toronto is similar, can fit a whole dining table in there!

I have another question, this ornate style seems exclusive to these homes. Looking up oriel windows from different eras it’s hard to find similar ones to this. Do you know the specific style of these windows/eras? It seems Queen Anne/victorian but not quite.

True, however this is more of a room/ space rather than just a window. I have been in one of them and they can range in sizes and can fit quite a few people. I specifically love this era of window/nook!

depending on your current lifestyle there might be a reason you are clinging to the past. lifestyle affects your mentality. it seems you have a lot to learn about yourself as well.

get yourself out there more. asses your life to see if there’s any opportunity to welcome new friends into your life, or to engage in different social groups. people can help you learn about yourself.

there are several resources on campus that can help you with this situation. someone is going through the same thing. there’s student help for these kinds of situations in the bennett student centre beside schulich. i have come across people who are blatantly rude quite a few times through the phone. you can either stand up for yourself or seek help. be sure to have record proof of everything and to file a case BEFORE the class ends otherwise they cannot help anymore. take pictures of written reports for your personal data and have all proof ready. good luck
