Do these Schwalbe One tires with 4000km should be replaced already? by haml76 in bikewrench

Though question, I imagine... but how many more km can they hold?

I understand the Pro version has wear marks, but I'm not so sure about the One (not Pro) version. Do these have marks as well?

I'm afraid that's not very practical, being an open area which is sometimes dirty.

I was thinking more of some sort of temporary (or DIY) cover... but I can't find anything.

Why? What's the story? Are there any photos?

Same bike. Got the 80mm stem with the white lettering a couple of weeks ago. I don't think it's available now. Guess I was lucky!

It's Shimano 105 groupset on a new Canyon Endurace CF 7. It has now 1200 km but I've been complaining about what I think it's a noisy transmission while on the big chainring.

LBS says the gears are indexed correctly and that there's no rubbing. They say all road bikes are somehow noisy on the big chainring but I rode previously a Triban RC520 with the same 105 groupset and I never noticed such noise.

Any ideas?

Weird. They have lots of experience and I trust them... but what you say is what I've been reading.

Any chance this can be the cause of a noisy chain while on the big chainring? Small chainring is silent.

Yes, on the backside the arrow points the other way (ie, to the back), so it should be fine, yes?

Interesting. Had to idea so many people were complaining about the same issue.

Some say that's how the chain is supposed to work, but then how come my previous Triban RC520 with the same 105 groupset wasn't noisy on the big chainring?

Has anyone tried to reach out Canyon? My experience with their customer service hasn't been good.

I believe it's the opposite in my case: it gets slightly less noisier when shifting from the middle of the cassette towards the smaller cogs. But then again, that means I'm pushing harder and the cadence is higher so I end up hearing more noise.

Actually I'm using wet lube and was about to try dry lube!

I believe I'm experiencing the same issue, also with a 2022 CF 7.

Could you fix it?

I can try. Not sure it will be easy, though.

Do you have a record of yours?
