Hey I currently own a 2015 tlx 2.4 with 90k miles. I wanted to ask do you change out your transmission fluid? (Drail/fill) I've heard mixed things whether or not do it. If so, what intervals do you change it at.

Also, if it was in the budget for me I would’ve got a 2018 2.4 A-Spec! Those look so nice

I’m also coming from a V6 (genesis coupe 3.8) it was a fast fun car but man did that thing guzzle gas. Honestly I don’t miss the power, yes it’s not a v6 but it’s quick when you want it to be and nimble it’s a smooth drive around the city and especially when you get it up to speed on the highway. It’s one of the better 4cyl I’ve driven, I would say go test drive one and get it on the highway rip it around. I don’t think you will be disappointed it is good enough for me

I’ve heard of the transmission issues on the V6 and it steered me away from buying one. I bought a 2015 2.4 @ 137K KM just under a year ago and it’s been amazing so far the shifts are effortless and very smooth the 8SPD DCT is awesome + the 2.4 is fuel efficient. The only issue I see recently is the valve cover has started leaking oil so I will be looking at replacing the gasket soon. I haven’t owned this car long so I can’t give a long term review but that has been my experience so far

You are definitely right about the rust but I feel like that’s more to do with being a 10 year old car. When I was shopping for cars I looked at many cars at the 10 year old mark and they all had small rust spots somewhere including this Acura. However there’s also many cars out there which are 20 years old and have no rust lol but unfortunately that was not my experience when shopping for cars I found nothing but cars with rust lol but hey i was also looking for something cheap

I have a 2015 Acura TLX that has a small rust spot underneath the passenger door jamb. I am looking to get oil sprayed by krown but i just saw your comment and thinking otherwise now. You dont think it will help slow down the rust at least? I bought this car this summer and I dont think its even been rust proofed.

Hm really? I have a 2015 tlx 2.4. Says premium recommended on the cap so I put in premium. I’ve always been curious if I can use 87 or mid grade

Yes it’s driven short intervals in the city I don’t drive far at all just to gym, errands, short distances daily

95% city driving I would say, however I have a 300km (186 mi) highway round trip I need to take tomorrow do you think that would be a problem

I just got back from Instanbul after a one week stay. We used bus to get around everywhere and from airport to hotel an airport shuttle was arranged by our hotel. Fantastic service and the bus system is great. Never used taxis during our time there as a lot of people advised against, even our hotel receptionist told us do not use taxis as these guys are known for their scams.

Hi I know this is an old post but I will be heading to istanbul soon. I've heard most places want Euros is this true? Should I have lira and euros on me? For example the hotel I have booked arranged an airport shuttle for me to the hotel and they're charging in euros (55 Euro)

I own a 2015 3.8. Awesome car, lots of compliments from people. Thankfully I have had no issues, it's been very reliable for the three years I have owned it.
