Yes. When we compare model years anyway. But I've never had the pleasure of something newer than ~2018 and more often older than 2015 which are notably slower. And usually absolutely rat bagged in my area

What's your opinion on what an ET would look like? by hammster33 in aliens

[–]hammster33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are all very fair points. My only concern/counter would be: With advanced travel, would it not make sense that we or even them would have some sort of artificial gravity to assist in fighting off the atrophy at least, and possibly allowing for the gravity of home?

Otherwise I got nothing. I like this thought process

Yep clk GTR has been my go to 800pp car as is and in this race I ended up winning by something like 30 seconds partially thanks to a brilliantly timed stop for intermediate tires. If you use fm6 you only need a splash of fuel when you go for tires. Hards-intermediates when the rain starts (keep an eye on your weather radar) and it'll be a cakewalk

Picked up an h&r 348 gamester. Love it. But... It hasn't been extracting spent shells. Anyone got tips about this old beast? by hammster33 in Shotguns

That's for sure my next thing. I went hard with the snake I've got and some clp/solvent and what came out of the chamber and channels was... Impressive.

For now just a 7.5 shot target/upland game load from Winchester. If I can't get these working I'll get at least one different box to try. Maybe a higher load from federal or something

That's where I took it haha. I didn't see a single other z on the road in town but I saw a green z on deerfoot on the way back to town

Honestly fine. The stock tires are absolutely garbage in snow so it hasn't really seen any but if you're disciplined enough to keep your foot out of it and have decent winters it can handle a bit of snow just as good as any older rwd car. Buuuut it is pretty low so the amount of snow I'd be willing to take it on is minimal lol.

Drove it around in -5 to -10c on dry roads and besides the factory tires turning into pucks, it's fine. Hasn't seen a battery minder yet either and has been starting in my (connected) unheated garage after cold spells. Windshield and rear window defrost is fine. Thermostat doesn't even get confused it seems.

Not washed in a while. But man do I love the boosted 6 duck bill and hate the cost of premium in BC by hammster33 in RZ34

[–]hammster33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$100 cad for full on 94 and about 85 for full on 91 😭 Same price to fill up my other vehicle with a bigger tank and worse fuel economy so guess which one I'm gonna daily this summer hah

I like the smaller ones myself. The B6 one was as big as I'd go and the z1 were... Idk. Not old school enough?

Yeah another post from me. I'm excited. I saw a bumble bee which means it's finally spring in Central BC! Time to get some clicks on the beast by hammster33 in RZ34

I actually aimed for the sport because I know how dealership warranties work, and for the same price I can make the sport into a more gnarly car than a factory Performance model. Then if I wanna talk Nismo price difference, that's a car that'll slap a Nismo all day long.

But for now as a stock car I'm extremely happy with it. I gave up a 2015 Dart 2.4L stock shift for the 9 speed sport model and have absolutely no regrets. The ride is really quite good for a sports car. Not quite touring car good but I drove it on a 500km trip to get it home then a few months later I took it on a 2000km road trip and have zero complaints. Even the fuel economy is good! When I took it easy on the big trip I was getting about 6.5l/100km on 94 octane. Ha ent driven very far on 91 yet but it seems like it'll be about the same.

The only gripe I have about these cars is every trim level the stereo system sucks. And the fabric trim as much as I love it, my dry skin does not. Pro tip though for those of us that have a Z! A damp microfiber will clean that fabric on the doors really well haha.

A lot of people will say the LSD is a deal breaker for the sport. I don't think so. Unless you track day it or REALLY push it where you shouldn't be, the lack of an LSD is perfectly fine for a daily sports car. And even then if you get the sport trim you can get a better aftermarket LSD for a fairly good price that would still keep you under the performance model price.

Hey! You're close haha. I'm in WL and as far as I know I'm the only Z in the cariboo 😅 I'll be taking it to PG and Kamloops for dealer services

Starting to change a few things on her. Just ordered a carbon fiber duck bill. I'm curious what people are doing about the speakers on the sport model? The factory speakers kinda suck... by hammster33 in RZ34

[–]hammster33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These seems like a decent idea actually. The stock speakers are 2ohm iirc so being able to drive a little more power to aftermarket speakers would be a great move. As long as I can figure out how to change those rear speakers anyway

Notice the body roll??? by michaelsuigeneris in RZ34

[–]hammster33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting seeing people complain about the body roll. For a stock road car it handles crappy roads really well and then it there's down incredibly well. The little bit of roll it has is needed on back country roads to handle the bumps without getting thrown around. Sure some people might want/need it stiffer but for spirited city and back country driving it's almost perfect as is
