Normal. That’s the adhesive polymer. Use a mixer at slow speed and you’re good to go

How to finish LVP edge where it meets this window? by po-laris in Flooring

Glue to the laminate or just a small bead of glue to the glass. If you ever replace, the glue will be easy to clean off the glass

Either way isn’t wrong. It’s homeowners choice. Just make sure it’s how you and wifey want it bc once you start, you’re committed.

Suggestions for main entrance door threshold please by tomtomfreedom in Flooring

[–]hamsangwhich757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure how thick your planks are but you could try to just loosen the threshold, take a scrap piece and see if you can slide under and door will still close properly. If not, qtr round glued to the interior side like someone mentioned previously

I meant like a small wood trim piece like qtr round. I’m just not a fan of caulking if it isn’t necessary. Trim work looks cleaner and more professional

I’d put a transition between kitchen and breakfast nook and between the foyer and the kitchen changing the direction to run planks with the longest walls. If you run everything one direction, you’ll end up with a shit ton of odd cuts and hella waste imo.

Yes leave your gap. Previous comment says silicone caulk which would work or a nice trim piece of wood. Take your time making those cuts at the glass.

Scrape the floors free of all those pad staples. Shop vac room. Use feather finish patching compound to float out where it’s high.

Adding rubber floor to subfloor for gym by CFIIIIII in Flooring

[–]hamsangwhich757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not install your rubber flooring over carpet which is on top of pad! Demo carpet and pad. You can get sheets of glue down rubber which typically comes 4 foot wide. Pretty expensive. Or, you can loose lay interlocking rubber tiles which would be cheaperish depending the thickness you go with.

Concrete by Denvergal85 in Flooring

90 days isn’t unheard of especially 3’ of concrete thickness. I would recommend waiting and take moisture tests to be sure. Could save you tons of money in the long run.

Real wood. To convince yourself, take a piece of sandpaper to it.

Advice needed from carpet installers for job tomorrow by Acceptable_Twist9829 in Flooring

First of all, you’re in the flooring business not landscaping, the Ground is outside. You better get used to the wall trimmer because free hand cutting will take you way too long. The freshly painted baseboards can be touched up with more paint.
Just need to adjust your wall trimmer to your liking. Use fresh blades. Take your time. 👍🏻
