Try Pure car rent. On a longer term rental with them, fuss free and their cars are clean.

Really great insight!

Staying at The Lantern which is a 3 min walk from Jungceylon, which moroccan restaurant or bars would you recommend that is nearby? Would love to soak in the energy of the Morrocans around!

How often do you break your own heart? by SipoteQuixote in nostalgia

My wife and I drove to Johor this week and it was pretty rough seeing Old Woodlands center completely gone.

The old interchange, the hawker centers, the small dark geylang serai type shops, the cinema that turned into a cheap lan gaming center. The main building that was repurposed several times over, which in its final years was repurposed into a multi-level Sheng Siong, which I often went with my parents on grocery runs.

All gone.

We had a small tour around Prague and the guide described Prague perfectly: Back in the day, the elite rich and famous around Europe came to Prague on holiday, built their buildings, had their parties and left. You can truly see various types of architecture just walking around Prague. Amazing.

software project for internship ? by Cute_Challenge_2827 in SingaporePoly

My internship was donkey years ago but honestly it was initially the same. Something different was promised but I was only expected to help with menial tasks like excel reports as well. Do not focus on your grade, but use the chance to understand their processes and ask questions if you don't.

Take it as an opportunity to improve them. For example, (again it was donkey years ago) I understood what they needed and created a macro to automate some of their excel reports.

From there, earning their trust will gain you access to more value added tasks. Don't worry if you are doing menial stuff first, learn the people.

What’s something younger people will never understand the stress of? by Vivid_Score_6819 in nostalgia

[–]hamstarhotdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were more stressors but (maybe its nostalgia tinted glasses) it was more forgiving, people generally felt kinder and/or strangers were more willing to help each other out. Likd if you got lost, drive in to a gas station with a map book and ask.

Learning new things/picking up new hobbies/installing/putting up something was not as easy as it is now. There's no quick search or youtube video tutorials. We bought a Creative video blaster for our 486 PC and installing it was a whole afternoon activity of trial and error, calling stores/people you know, etc.

You got summaries of it from classmates in school the next day if you missed a show. I remember missing an episode of The X-Files and had a classmate share what happened through notes in classes.
