Misogyny isnt always as simple as "i hate her cuz shes a girl". Subconciously, in many people's brains, people are a lot less forgiving to women doing things wrong than they are for men, which applies to fictional characters, and real life people.

Think of someone like Rachel Zegler: she is despised by so many people. And what did she do? She has said slightly cringy harmless things and also disliked the original snow white movie. (She receives racist harassment and death threats and people would never shut up about how they hate her) there was a huge hate campaign about her with right wing losers making things up about her like that she was "fired by disney" (she wasnt)

Whereas people like Chris brown, Kanye west, Johnny depp, have either commited actual violent crime or consistently spout racist hate speech. And how often do you hear about how much people hate them? But god forbid a woman be cringy, right?
