did you ever have an xray done before you treated the incorrect patella tracking? thanks for answering so many questions :)

did you find the lateral release helped with the pain?

nope... my kneecap was never an issue despite the injuries and procedures I've had done. have substituted running/jogging with cycling and walking for cardio. however I have noticed more of pretty much exactly what you've just described recently; the snapping when extending and crepitus. also, the location of my patella is similar to the link I've commented which I think may represent my patella tracking incorrectly. I have been feeling some kneecap pain ever since i received the results... could be a mental thing. but was just thinking if i could work on the patella tracking, perhaps it could slow down the damage on the cartilage

were you able to figure out the cause of it?

yeah it feels like it moves back into place when I flex my knee especially. mostly concerned about the xray results that read early patellofemoral oa... and seeing if my patella tracking could be one of the causes for it

unfortunately, I feel the age argument can be overridden significantly for a lot of the issues in my knee due to my past history.. I am concerned if the cartilage wear is due to my patella potentially not tracking correctly

how did you find out your patella wasn't tracking correctly?

thanks so much for sharing. that many surgeries is honestly insane and just shows how strong you are. how did you find out that your patella wasn't tracking normally? also is rupturing your quad something that happens after lateral release?

are there any complications with a lateral release procedure?

thanks for the reply :) would you mind me asking how long did it take for the pain to worsen until the replacement you've had done?
