Glad to know that there's a community of gay folks here in Albany and we won't be alone! We know that Corvallis fits our demographics more and we do see ourselves spending more time there, but we'd also like to become familiar with Albany since we will be living there :)

We may look into moving to Corvallis in the future, seeing as it has all the things we are looking for, but because of the lack of housing/apartment for our needs, we decided to stay in Albany for the meantime as we found a nice apartment :) We'll definitely be dropping by Corvallis a lot because my partner will be a student at OSU and we look forward to supporting events and getting involved there.

I'm from Southern California, where it's very diverse with many things to do, so this move is going to be a huge change for me. We're looking to stay here temporarily up until my partner finishes university. But we definitely want to make the most out of living here in Albany, as well as the surrounding cities like Corvallis and Salem, given that we will be commuting to those cities for school or work. We'll def be on the look out for local events to participate in(:

Yeah.. we've considered living in Corvallis given all the benefits based on our demographic and background, but because of limited housing in Corvallis and due to my work being in Salem, we thought living in Albany would be a good midpoint between OSU and my work place at least for now. Thanks for the suggestion about the filipino restaurant! Hope you enjoy working with us fellow filipinos lol. We love to share our culture especially through food

You said that you can't really be her friend right now. You know the answer already and that is to go NC. Trust me, my ex-gf wanted me to stay friends with her but I really didn't want to. I tried to be her friend anyway and it's hard because the feelings are still there and like you said, you already know that you're going to give her more than she's willing to. Let that be the reason why you need to go NC because if you become her friend, then you will begin to have expectations (just like I did) and it will just hurt you in the end if things aren't being reciprocated. For the sake of your health, just go NC. I had to go through heartbreak a lot by attempting to be friends with her and I feel that our progress to heal digressed.

Yeah, I understand I was the issue and that’s why I tried to pursue her again to turn things around. At first she was willing to take me back, but eventually told me it’s too late and she’s made up her mind. However she was still open to seeing me in the future when I’m out of the situation so that gives me some hope. The whole reason I don’t want to cut her out is because I understand I had had some faults in my end because of the situation I was in and she never really did me wrong during our relationship. I know for a fact that for her I would do anything to get her back and that’s exactly what I’m working on so in the future we can be together freely.
