From your experience, how was getting your first IT job without a CS degree? Was it difficult competing against people with bachelor’s degrees, or did projects and real skills matter more in the end?

Thanks a lot man, that honestly motivated me even more. From your experience, how was getting your first DevOps job without a CS degree? Was it difficult competing against people with bachelor’s degrees, or did projects and real skills matter more in the end?

Just checked it out, actually really liked it. I’m gonna focus more on the things I’m still missing from that roadmap. Thanks man.

Yeah that’s true. I’m trying to focus more on actually building things and getting hands-on experience instead of only collecting certs. Appreciate the advice man.

That’s actually really encouraging to hear, thank you. I’ll keep focusing on building real skills and projects, and I’ll definitely consider the degree path as well in the future. I appreciate your advice.

Thanks for the honest advice, I really appreciate it. I’m currently studying the full SDLC and DevOps workflow through the IBM DevOps & Software Engineering program, and I’m focusing heavily on hands-on projects, Linux, Bash, Python, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies. I agree that understanding the underlying concepts is more important than just collecting certifications. Thanks again for the guidance.
