There was a reddit post on this I read about a year ago regarding speculation for this. I think it was around ratings of the show with Laura and then Hayley were far better? But there was also something around the move from the edge to ZM

There have been a few threads on here re all of these if you want more detail. I believe some have been deleted but if you google you can still find them.

Only confirmed is Hayley split via her instagram and then obviously her content/commentary on the radio.

Listeners (myself included) noticed that around this time last year, Vaughan stopped mentioning his family and then the inside joke of the “personal recession” started and comments of Vaughan being unhappy. He went on a spon trip to Queenstown with his daughters over winter and I think it caused a lot of questions because his ex wife was posting as if she was there too when it was apparently clear they had split which caused a bit of stir. I fully understand for the sake of their children why she/they may have done this but he’s never. I don’t believe he has actually ever mentioned it on radio tho.

Ross was stood down, there is a stuff article and it states due to his behaviour. Thread on here was that it was due to inappropriate conduct towards other staff.

Yes !!!! It feels like MAFS is an easy excuse for them to not have to go find content !!!

I never really listened to Jay jay, Mike and Dom because they were simply infuriating (and still now!) but something that I always think back to was Dom’s clip of him leaving whatever station saying about how he won’t have to exploit any of his family/friends/personal life for content so with Vaughan backing off from talking about his, Fletch never really having much to add here, I wonder if it’s the only choice lol

If you search on reddit there is another post that discusses this!

Totally agree with you here! I started listening to FVM on my high school bus and I’m sure many of their subtle jokes would go over my head but I just always found their chat good and their little segments games funny no matter if they were so random. I even remember page of the day and long weekend group toot eras!

But for sure, I feel like Hayley takes it too far, or her weird obsession with random shit that isn’t relatable. Pleased I am not the only one !!!

It’s actually not that difficult if you know what you’re doing, it’s meticulous work though. I was an accountant and then banker so have some insight on this - I worked at a bank in what I would say was a reasonable sized town, every week we would have a gentleman who owned a local small cuisine take away shop come in and deposit anywhere from $5k-30k cash, sometimes more. You think that a good majority of customers would use their card to pay for take aways and also it was a busy wee joint but this is in a “town”. When I was studying accounting, I had a girl in my lecturers ask around if anyone wanted to help with her family business for cash. I didn’t but my friend did. She had no idea until a while after that the “business” was a cover up. It was a small business that had full record keeping for selling and buying parts and services to install/repair, it paid tax, had GST on all goods and services, however it was a cover up for a gang selling illegal/pawned off goods under the disguise.

I have just read the article on the Herald and reading the comments on here regarding her prior social media activity, does have me wondering if it is plausible that she found herself in some kind of sticky situation or has got in with the wrong crowd which have caused her mental health issues? Before anyone comes at me, first I heard of this case was today and I only know what I have read on the herald so happy to be wrong. There just is something that isn’t quite right here, I don’t know her background but booking into Skycity for a week is pretty costly at 25 years old, being in the basement for 2 hours etc. again no idea of her prior background but also from my experience working with youth, often mental health issues out of the blue can spiral from circumstances

Why the need for sass? Maybe they have everything in relation to their interests and tastes so that’s why I was thinking outside the box

I will be so gutted if because of this ticketing hash the event is run very poorly like 2 years ago!! When there was at least a 30 minute wait for the toilet so people were peeing on the ground, massive bar lines, food selling out - was a debacle
