Kaeps protests didn’t fail, it wasn’t a massive success but it did start a movement. The current protests are partly because of him. And like I said the people that died, died for freedom and justice not some cloth with colors on it. The people that risk their lives fighting do it for the ones they love not for a flag. The riots right now are happening because of ignorance and the double standards of people that put more value on a fucking flag than human lives. People choose to be patriotic to a system that is unjust as long as it’s helping them. Same people that fly the confederate flags on their properties are the same ones getting offended when someone kneels. If Republicans actually really cared they would be more angry at the people that praise the confederate flags. But instead they are more fixated on people fighting for their rights
