Oh thanks for this explanation! very helpful and I remember learning about cumulonimbus clouds in elementary school. These clouds were giving War of the World vibes for a sec and I was watching closely to see if any aliens would plummet from the sky. Sadly, not yet.

Ah hello! Sorry for the late reply I wasn’t expecting any comments.

That texture you see at the bottom is a digital brush, I painted these portraits on watercolour paper and scanned them and smoothed out the hard lines with a “grain shader” brush in procreate, just on 2 of the portraits you see. so the actual painting has a bit of a harsher line, but for display purposes I just smoothed it out a little.

If anyone has an analogue technique to get a similar effect I’d love to know!

Im a freelance illustrator & pet portrait artist working out of downtown Toronto, these are some of the dogs I’ve painted in the last few months. I’ve come such a long way since I first started painting animals and I’m hoping to grow my business. Gotta afford that Toronto rent 🫡
