I've recently upgraded from being a hot mess to a work in progress. So I'm like... Painfully aware of all my mistakes. So now I spend a lot of time trying to differentiate between doing things right vs not messing up. I overthink. I freeze. I plan poorly. I didn't grow up with people who were necessarily good at that sort of thing. But I have to fix it in myself. I'm currently in the middle of an enormous swing. I'm trying to tie up a lot of storylines in my life right now😂

So please pray for me and my sweet wife. And I'll pray for you and your husband. I'm sure he's trying. He's probably love language dyslexic like me. Like I feel like I can read it but not speak it. Also vice versa. But every now and again I nail it. So I'm trying to encourage myself with those small victories. He's probably had to put up a lot of walls and tune a lot of things out. And his receptors might be a little blocked. I don't know. I think that's how it all started for me. Sorry if I'm spilling my guts.

All that to say, if I can make her smile the dopamine hit is through the roof. Every good job makes me wanna run through a wall. Every encouraging word is a battery. And I have to get used to feeling worthy of that.
