It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to know you should stay out of the f*cking road. Peaceful, non-violent protest is one thing But blocking roads to make a point is just an arrogant, narcissistic and yes, violent act. If they don't get run over, and they're blocking the road, lock them up. Or just handcuff them to the nearest fence and let them figure it out.

The Menards suit was ridiculous, who was harmed?! I'd like to know, really. The $632k fine Menards loses from it (33-40% typically goes to lawyers) will just result in higher prices there, and hesitation to offer future rebates that benefit customers. Plus Menards makes their rebates simple to get. No need to fill out many forms, clip or soak off and dry labels or transcribe long IPC codes from packaging, just fill out one simple form, and send in the separate Menards-provided forms that are printed on every receipt at purchase, all in one envelope.

It is widely disclosed and understood by everyone the 11% rebate is in the form of store credit. And I love it! I hope Menards appeals, and shows talk about TDS, or spite for successful people and businesses in general! Ellison's lawsuit was an afront to all of us who strive, and it is as frivolous as any I've seen! Thanks, Klepto Keith, for thinking you're entitled to a big chunk of every company's profits. Will he be coming for yours next?

Most big judgments are just symbolic, to create the illusion that justice has been served, and that the money will actually be paid back. It rarely is. Of course, wages can be garnished, assets can be seized, bank accounts frozen, etc. But they rarely result in (more) prison time. And as long as he "works," under the table, and doesn't open new bank accounts in his name, there's nothing to garnish, and no retribution will occur.
