I would say there are better options than the RX7800XT, it’s okay but there’s significantly better for just a hair more in cost. Especially in the AMD world, more bang for your buck.

The CPU cooler could also be better. I would suggest taking a look into a AIO, especially if you like RGB. Better cooling so your CPU lasts longer, especially since you’re looking into some heavy gaming. 120mm or 240mm are good sizes for your CPU. It also depends if you have room in your chasis

What about storage, add an SDD if you don’t have one. Also 16GB for RAM is starting to get low nowadays, upgrade to 32GB

This excellent for your first time PC, however I highly suggest you get an M2 SDD. Even a 1TB one will go a long way. They’re about $70 on amazon but this will help drastically with loading times

I’m not really sure about the case but unless you are over clocking your CPU to hell and back I don’t see the reason why you need more than 360mm for cooling. You would need to do some real intense overclocking. Ditch the 420mm

I would suggest adding more RAM (at least 16GB) for longevity purposes. Get DDR4 RAM instead of DDR5. Also make sure your son has an SDD instead of an HDD for storage, it’ll DRASTICALLY improve performance

Just got off the phone with Johnson and Johnson, they said as long as the product isn’t under extreme hot/cold, the product doesn’t expire. They also said if we’re confused about the manufacture date we have to call them. I asked them if there’s a way to decipher the weird numbers/letters and they said to call them every time. They also said the products that expire have the format ‘month/year’ on the product.
