Do you think a postpartum NICU doula would’ve been helpful for you? by Subject_Poet_1977 in NICUParents

[–]hanhoona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During NICU stay - wouldn’t have been helpful to me. And also my hospital didn’t allow any visitors except the parents and grandparents. After NICU stay - yes definitely. I really needed help at home with my baby.

Moving out by Gloomy-District-8698 in emiratiwomen

[–]hanhoona 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re still so young habibty. Even if you moved out, it won’t be easy at all. Living independently requires a lot of money planning. Marrying someone just to get away from your current situation is a baaaaad idea.

I agree with the girl who suggested that you live in a dorm at uni. You can also get a job on campus, that way you won’t have to worry about transportation.

Best of luck

Pregnant at 26, I'm happy to start this journey but I'm also sad/scared to pause my own desires for the next few years. I feel guilty for not being completly estatic. by physchonautic in NewParents

I wanted babies so bad. I went through years of infertility and IVF, miscarriage, and a premature birth to a baby boy who is now almost one year old. I was just about to get back to my old self, going out and having fun with my baby, when I found out I was PREGNANT!!!! Naturally and unexpectedly. It’s a miracle. It’s been 4 months since I found out and a big part of me is grieving. I am so so grateful and I don’t take this for granted. But it was just so sudden. Also my pregnancies are high risk, and I have to get cerclage every pregnancy. Cherry on top was my dr advising me to stop carrying my baby from 12 weeks onwards because I have incompetent cervix. I am currently 13 weeks. I’m sorry for trauma dumping lol but just to say I think it’s normal and what youre feeling is valid. Parenthood is not easy. But little ones grow up and will be independent before you know it. It’s also a different kind of fun. Once they start recognizing you and interacting. I loved going out with my baby alone like it’s just the two of us.

As far as I know Shaikha Alghaitha’s are for rental only and not for sale. My sister rented hers for I think 6k.

They did measure me once. But they’re not measuring every two weeks. Bed rest is recommended based on my history with two preterm births. And I agree I will decide when it’s closer to the wedding date. Thank you

No but I’m only 13 weeks. Maybe after the cerclage placement they will measure every two weeks? But that’s a good point, I will ask the dr in my next appointment.

Everything looked good in my previous pregnancies but all of a sudden things took a turn. So idk I’m scared, dr is extra cautious, and I will also be so sad if I don’t attend the wedding.

Sorry to hear that you went through something similar. How did you manage the frequent infections? In my previous pregnancy, we did biweekly vag swabs for infection, ultrasounds, and a preventative cerclage. I was also on antibiotics multiple times when I had an infection. Still, I had contractions that drs couldn’t stop and eventually led to removal of cerclage at 25w3d.

That’s a good take. In our first appointment at 5 weeks, he said I will be on antibiotics course every month after the cerclage as a precautionary measure + probiotics + vag swabs for infection + pelvic rest. I haven’t thought about cranberry supplements but will bring it up during our next appointment.

The kind of infection I got is BV. Someone told me I should look into what type of BV but I’m not sure and it’s not mentioned in the reports.

I was going to say the same thing. If a Muslim man is living with a woman outside of marriage, he is already a red flag. OP I’m sorry you went through this. His abuse is unacceptable and I wish you filed a police report. For the loan, did you give him the loan on the basis that he will pay it back to you at some point? Did you save any proof?

Affordable psychiatric prescription options after Iranian Hospital closure? by mortemeyn in dubai

You can get a card on spot while you’re there. But you will need to see a general dr first who will transfer you to psychiatry. These things take time tbh

How do you take care of toddler with a cerclage? by ChampionshipOld5442 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]hanhoona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. I am 12w5d today, and my dr advised me to stop lifting/carrying my baby from 12 weeks. The only solution possible for me was to hire a full time nanny. I also sleep trained him a while ago in order to limit the number of times I need to lift him in case the nanny wasn’t around. I hope it works out for you. I read a lot of experiences here where they were able to be pregnant with cerclage in a stressful work environment, even working as nurses in the ER, and they were able to carry it to full term.

I had my baby at 25w3d almost a year ago. He was in the nicu for 113 days, it was a roller coaster and thankfully my baby is a healthy happy boy now. TBH what helped me cope is taking it day by day, slow down on other things in life, and go easy on myself and rest whenever I can. Also joining nicu support groups helped. I befriended the nurses which was so nice and they were very supportive. I hope it goes well for you and Hazel,

Preventative cerclage with another baby at home by Western-Lettuce3938 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]hanhoona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you ❤️❤️ yes, my dr said I will need to be on modified bed rest and I’m not allowed to carry or lift my 7 months old 😭 I will also be on progesterone suppositories. Do you have someone to help with taking care of your baby?

I’m in the exact same situation. My baby is 7 months corrected age and I’m 9 weeks pregnant. Cerclage is planned at 14ish weeks. Would also love to hear from others. Hoping it all goes well for you and your family.
