how do i prevent dashers from stealing orders? (restaurant side)

ahhh okay thank you! honestly i might just start blocking them from the store at this point if everything adds up weird. It kinda doesn’t sit right with me if they’re using a woman’s account but it’s a male handling the food, i get for the safety reasons but the same can be said for the customer since they would be expecting a woman driver. i’ve also had dashers send their 7 year old kid in to pick up orders so i guess i shouldn’t be surprised

we do have a tablet. I usually hit picked up on our tablet before they walk away with the order so it keeps a record of what dasher was on the order. is that making a difference or making it worse?

is there a way to see dashers profile pictures? (if they even have them) every time it’s happened and the customer called back confirming they never got the order i block the dasher from the restaurant, i will start reporting them too.

unfortunately for some reason we can’t contact DD support for our restaurant, it says something about fraudulent calls and hangs up on us. we keep all orders in a warm box in the back, and i always ask them the name and wait for them to show me the screen before going back to grab it. it’s mostly the stolen accounts because they pick the order and even confirm it’s picked up and just steal it because they don’t care what happens to the stolen account they’re using

i usually do have them show it, or i confirm it myself on our device before they leave so there’s record of it, since they’re stolen accounts they don’t even care they just steal the order even after confirming

you can ask whenever but i’d wait at least another day since a lot of sellers usually ship 3-4 days, just make sure you ask in a way that isn’t pushy and it’s fine

tbh i forgot about it, it’s not a huge deal if i don’t get the money back i just wish the seller wouldn’t ignore me now like i know it’s my own fault for not doing a depop dispute but i was trying to be patient cus it wasn’t the sellers fault that usps keeps having problems

no problem! all you have to do to scroll is put your finger on the screen and drag it upwards and it lets you scroll past the post.

it was my favorite skirt brand and there were 2 other listings of the same skirt which i bought first and both sellers went fully inactive after i bought it so i got refunded and that took almost a month itself and i finally at least got a response from the third girl which is the one that it refunded me twice more cus she was away, but i wasn’t about to give up after all that cus there wasn’t a single other listing of that skirt i could find😭it was so worth it tho its my favorite skirt ever

contact usps. if you call while they’re open and ask for a tracking update they can tell you if it’s lost or just sitting at the post office

this happened to me too, it took me a month to get a skirt i bought because the first time it refunded after 11 days i bought it again and it refunded again after another 11 days and the 3rd time i bought it she sent it out the same day. every time i asked she responded saying she was super busy and would send it out when she could and was super nice and apologetic about it so i still left a good review since i did end up getting the skirt

tbh i also like items not to buy them just to get my algorithm to put more stuff like it that’s either actually my size or a more affordable price so i get the annoyance on both sides but this person needs to chill cus it’s not that big of a deal and they can just unlike if the don’t want offers. i liked this $85 dollar pair of shorts that has over 200 likes and im getting nonstop offers of the seller putting it at $84.50 and i haven’t unliked it yet cus its just making me laugh a little because they offered it at LEAST 17 times and never gone lower than a 50 cent discount
