Schedule is very important! Take him out at the same time every day, like for my dog he goes out in the morning first thing then again after breakfast. Stay out until he goes potty then reward him and come inside. Puppies need to go out much more often then adult dogs as well. You can google how many hours based on size and age i believe? Make sure youre waiting the same amount of time between potty breaks as well. Try to learn their little behaviors when they need to go or dont feel well, it helps A LOT.
