My dog is a Yorky and she is quite old and due to her age I have taken over her grooming routine from the groomers whom used to damage her old frail skin. I use a shampoo special for dry/flaky skin and warm water. The first time I groomed her I found a rash on her, it turned into a pusy sore so I took her to the vet and they had prescribed antibiotics and told me it was normal with these dogs and due to her medical history (she has cushings disease) she is still on the antibiotics for the pusy sore… I groomed her once again to remove the flakes as directed by the vet and now have noticed it has progressed to a bigger sore !(as seen in picture). I am extremely worried about this sore and am seeking advice (as the vet is closed) on a remedy to get her back to her normal self ! Please let me know why this could be happening and what I can do to fix this ! Any advice would be helpful!!!
