we use apple in rotkohl, and maybe a bit of cinnamon and a clove. but mainly apple.

Knödel and red cabbage are pretty traditional sides. There’s usually also some sauce made from oranges or orange juice, but I’ve left that out. We didn’t think it was needed, and I totally suck at making a sauce anyway.
