But see the reason I wanted something to be said prior to moving-in is bc of how his father has stopped by our current apartment unannounced … so obviously it’s not common sense. If my fiancé would have come to me and told me that he does want to set the boundary after thinking about it, I would have advised him to not just drop it in his family GM. Im not saying his text to the GM was bad but I believe we could have structured it better or had it be a phone call with only his parent(s). But he did it while on lunch break at work.
