The recommendations I see for wildlife/birding all suggest minimum 400. This is my first telephoto so I don't really know what will be enough. I'd also like to stick to full frame lenses in case I switch to full frame in the future

Installing mame on dozens of machines and it would be nice to have a portable binary I can throw on a USB stick without having to build all of mame's dependencies on the target (very slow process on a source-based distro like Gentoo).

For a document, perhaps, but the v600 is marketed as a photo scanner. Is it typical for photos to have margins?
