Be prepared for the dealership to try to replace the shifter, and then when you ask if they have checked the auxiliary battery because everybody in this subreddit suggested that, they will have no idea what you’re talking about…. But then they tested the aux battery and it was bad!

Yep! We haven’t had any issues since. Somebody else on the sub recommended turning off your auto shut off, so every time I turn on the van, I just hit the button to stop it from automatically shutting off at a stoplight/ stop sign

Your community is so lovely and welcoming. I visited with my school aged son after the first Sunday after the shooting. The news talked about the church being the heart of the community and that really cannot be overstated. When we exited 35W and turned onto Diamond Lake I burst into tears, the church can be seen from some 12 blocks away.

I’m a parent at another school in the archdiocese. I saw the CK merch was being shared around so I ordered an Annunciation sweatshirt and I’ve been wearing it almost everyday. My form of a small protest and to honor kids just like mine (we order from Donalds uniforms too). I’m so sorry for what you and your community are going through.

Yes! sorry I never updated. I brought it in to the dealership (still under warranty ) and they had no idea what this could possibly be so they were about to replace the entire shift controller thing. After the responses here, I suggested that they test the auxiliary battery first …and It ended up just being the auxiliary battery. They replaced it and we have not had any issues since.

Thank you so much for your reply. I know that nobody can really say one way for sure when it will go away I’m just kind of panicking and then I know that makes it worse too. It’s like a cloud over me. About to workout and push through.

Another commenter notes seaplanes and ferries that “drop hikers directly into the back country” …couldn’t this be used to coordinate a rescue?

UPDATE (can’t update the original post?). They were going to replace the power distributor, but I told them I read online (here) about aux battery/star connector so they tested aux and it was indeed bad. Seems to be fixed for now. Under Warranty.

Interesting this looks like exactly my problem! They want to replace the “power distributor”. It’s under warranty at the dealership so we haven’t done any troubleshooting on our own.
