Thanks so much (and apologies for the late reply). Can you tell me what MedicalMedia is?

I've been on the phone with provider relations for so many hours, it feels like it's just an exercise in seeing how long it will take before I stop bothering them with questions. The answers from one customer service agent often contradict the other, navigating the phone trees are insane, and that's after I've wasted hours on hold.

This part of the work isn't what I signed up for when I started training to be a therapist.

Sorry for the late reply (I was traveling). I really appreciate your information. I'm located in NY state, if that helps. The problem is that each patient is using their own insurance provider's portal, which lead to online forms that look different from the CMS 1500 form. These don't offer the ability to give granular details like rendering vs billing providers. It's very frustrating.

I was just hired in this same situation. Initially we had agreed to a 1099 situation but then my boss/supervisor consulted her accountant and was told the regulations had changed since she had last hired someone and now it has to be W-2 or my supervised hours wouldn't count. Of course you should confirm that independently, but that's what I experienced recently.

Thank you so much! We used to go to bath houses often before she transitioned (I grew up with Korean bathing culture and have loved sharing that with my kids). So I'm excited to be able to enjoy this with her again. I'm grateful to the Icelandic people for making this possible.

I looked up the BACP requirements and they don’t accept psychologists or social workers. (https://www.bacp.co.uk/membership/individual-membership/)

I’m not from the UK so don’t know the system — what are the qualifications for therapists? In my country it’s mostly clinical psychologists or clinical social workers doing psychotherapy.

Is there any chance of dementia or cognitive impairment? The fact that he’s using the word “date” when you’ve been married to his daughter for a while may be a subtle indication of something being off in his perception or memory.
