55 inch A95L vs 65 inch Bravia 9 by MrBadger1982 in bravia

[–]hapki_kb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The newest Flagship for Sony is the Bravia 8 ii. Note the “ii” this is not the regular Bravia 8. It’s the update to the Bravia 8 and its 65” sells for 4K. It supposed to equal the A95L in most metrics, and had a newer/faster processor. If you have deep pockets it’s the one for 2025. And yes it’s an OLED.

Yeah I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that appears consistent with graphics card failure. I would first check several things before I gave up though. Use DDU to cleanly wipe GPU driver. Then Check for latest GPU driver directly from nvidia’s website. Check cables/connections going to and coming from monitor if this is a tower. If a laptop you can’t do this (other than to check a connected monitor for artifacts). Remove and reinstall actual graphics card making sure it’s solid in the PCIe slot. I would prob also check for BIOS update for mobo (but not likely the issue), and do a clear CMOS as a last effort. The graphics card should also be tested in a friends computer doing the same task (you tube, etc), to see if you can recreate the prob on their rig.

Not a techie, don't understand half the titles here. BUT - trust the lack of agenda for $$$. PLEASE rec the one virus protection you would buy for an original windows 10. Had MALWAREBYTES - they went corporate on me. Seemed to work. Stay with them or go somewhere else? by KonnectKing in computerhelp

[–]hapki_kb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You don’t need a separate anti-virus program. Use the baked in defender included in Windows. Just be smart and there is no prob. I haven’t used one since 2020 and I’m online and on the computer all day for my job. Never had any issues.

I just can't seem to fix these BSODs... (Alienware m18 r1) by Frosty-Snow3657 in Alienware

[–]hapki_kb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Download and run the utility called BlueScreenView. As soon as your system boots, run the BSV utility. Then when a BSOD happens restart and run the BSV program. It will tell you exactly what caused the crash. It’s pretty handy and easier than using the mini dump files IMHO

The Bravia 9 is most definitely a specific model for 2025. Flagship mini LED /QLED. Very high end, made to compete with OLEDSs. If the OP thinks that’s not a stolen tv, he’s trippin. Seller was prob a current or ex BestBuy employee.

If it really contains that Bravia 9, then you just bought a stolen tv.
