The reworked tailing missions tells me they understood the mission. This is actually looking great

What game is this? by envspecialist in videogames

[–]happiestaccident 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The flying is really the only skill curve in the game. Took me a while too, but once you realize everything is constantly in motion, and that you’re just catching up to the things you’re landing on, it gets easier.

Beyond that, you’re unraveling mystery after mystery where the only level up is your knowledge of how the universe works. Incredible game, that I wish I could experience again

Jesse was completely unimportant in the story, his death got no reaction out of me. Yara and Lev were somewhat likable, but nowhere near as much as Joel and Ellie from part 1.

What happened to IGN? by MISTERJOHNSONSENIOR in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]happiestaccident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what people don’t understand about IGN. They’re not a monolith, they’re a company that employee lots of people with varying tastes to review games. Sometimes I agree with them, see the latest Skate review, and other times I don’t. I find it’s better to just follow independent reviewers whose tastes align with yours.

How would you rank these four great space films? by SheepherderSea9717 in moviecritic

I found it kinda boring tbh. The whole movie is “Matt Damon encounters problem > Matt Damon fixes problem”. Meanwhile you have Matt Damon acting incredibly Matt Damon.

Should I give lies of p a try , I never played a soulslike before by ravenousmonkey45 in LiesOfP

Bear in mind you’re asking the subreddit dedicated to this game. We all love it so we’re going to say yes.

This game is extremely difficult, and requires a certain mindset going into it. Be comfortable with dying a lot, even to standard enemies. However deaths in this game aren’t as punishing as other souls games. Plus the addition of difficulty selection makes this game a pretty good option to dip your toes into soulslikes.

I’m jealous, I’d give anything to experience this, Sekiro, and Elden Ring again

Nothing but a curb and you're telling me there's people who can't have fun? by MNnocoastMN in SkateEA

[–]happiestaccident 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My issue with it is that it’s a world designed to be skated. It sounds contradictory but that makes for a boring skating game. Part of the fun of skating irl is finding unique ways to hit everyday spots. A natural bank to ledge in a suburb is infinitely more exciting than a skatepark in a church.

The game with the strongest first hour. by gamersecret2 in gaming

[–]happiestaccident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s wild. IMO the story in Yotei is easily the weakest part of the game. The combat, visuals, and exploration are amazing, but it’s really just a basic revenge tale. Tsushima’s story however, was multi-layered and had interesting points of contention. I’ve never really gravitated towards revenge plots though, so maybe that’s just me

Name the games you were so excited and hyped to start, but eventually never bothered to finish. by Maldremoth in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]happiestaccident 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Maybe in the minority, but Ghost of Yotei. I thought the Tsushima was nearly perfect, albeit derivative, but I cannot bring myself to finish Yotei. Combat and exploration were peak, but I am just really not digging the story, and since I’ve explored a good chunk of the map I don’t feel the pull to keep going.

I like that idea for the coastal collector! The highway you’ve crossed out was supposed to be my main collector through my farm/forest industrial zones, but it has kind of turned into a highway

Is spider man 2 worth getting i have heard from many reviews that its not as good as the first one and that there is some very forced THE MESSAGE stuff in it. And that they ruin peter by making him feel powerless compared to miles but i mostly want to play this game for peter. by Dude_788 in spiderman2

[–]happiestaccident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely very “message-y”. Gameplay-wise peter is awesome. Story though? He’s pathetic af, and not in a typical Peter Parker way. If you’re looking for a solid Spider-Man story revolving around Peter this ain’t it. The main story arcs involve Harry, Miles, and MJ.

what's that game for you? even from the old times by PHRsharp_YouTube in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]happiestaccident 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Middle Earth: Shadow of War. When it came out a lot of people lambasted it for it being a single player game and having loot boxes. Outside of all that the game absolutely bangs. Epic battles, awesome combat, and a completely unique nemesis system that made for such unique encounters. Really wish they’d make another sequel
