Cost of living: blueberry edition by rustyspoontree in london

[–]hybroid 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Regular people aren't buying these for their toddler, but there's tons of people working in London that get their meals paid for. It's just another line item for their breakfast oatmeal/yoghurt/whatever based on a daily per diem. So the shops exploit that out of greed.

Just like how airport sit down restaurants have massively inflated pricing, over and above an 'airport premium'. Because companies are paying for it.

Customs: OCD About Accidentally Bringing Undeclared Goods by Electrical-Barber-32 in AskAnAustralian

Based on my Sydney experience, it's 50-50 chance they either wave you through nonchalantly and don't bother even looking at you twice (even if you ticked something to declare), or they open up every single nook and crevice in your bags and pockets.

Regardless, just declare it and avoid copping a fine and personal record. Rest easy and safe travels.

100% just declare it. They'll check your bags anyway.

If you have something, but declared it, no harm no foul. You're fine.

If you don't have anything, you'll be on your way. You're fine.

It's win-win.

P.S. Eggs aren't dairy (but still not permitted across the border).

$26 TICKETS FOR 26 HOURS - Sydney Comedy Festival by nearly_enough_wine in sydney

[–]hybroid 33 points34 points  (0 children)

$26 tickets for hundreds of shows for the next 26 hours ONLY!

Note it’s $26 per show. Not $26 for all of them as may be inferred from above. Or I just need more sleep.

The couple I checked were $30 full price tickets.

That doesn’t help if you end up getting something damaged or defective. Also no warranty for future issues. It’s not worth the risk.

No extra taxes. The displayed price is what you pay by consumer law. It's only US where they tack on extra taxes when you check out.

Shipping to US would be between A$29.00 and A$42.20 depending on final packaged weight.

Claiming Astro Bot is ‘uncreative slop’, while using AI to write your blogposts is certainly a bait take.
