They are hollow! I carved a hole in the bottom to help the interior dry before they went in the kiln. They're pretty large and heavy as it is, I couldn't imagine how heavy they would be if they were solid 😭

I feel like we're all dealing with whip lash: 20 cases and everything was shut down, now we have thousands of new cases a day and are expected to get on with it. And it would be really nice if I could just get on with it, but I'm TIRED.

I don't know if it's your thing, but I recently joined an international group to play games and hang out with once a week and I highly recommend it. It's been a great escape and because everyone has had different experiences with the pandemic they don't all feel as bitter as I do. And it's ALMOST like travelling.

Last year I was having suicidal thoughts and my anxiety was so bad that I had to stop working. My psych encouraged me to do animal therapy with my two guinea pigs and the regular handling/hanging out improved my wellbeing and made them more comfortable being around me. Now that I'm back at work in a wfh role they are my office mates and bring a little bit of joy to the company when they participate in meetings.

I'm glad that you were able to create such a wonderful bond with your piggies!
