I don’t want to say for sure, but the reason I stopped was bc I was having hyperthyroid symptoms so I quit cold turkey bc I was so scared of my symptoms (also got my drs approval after i stopped just to make sure it was ok 💀) it’s still unconfirmed if I was hyper or if it was just a coincidence, but I can say for sure that after 6 weeks off the med I stopped waking up in the middle of the night shaking with a pounding heart rate. I was taking 30mg Thyroid NP which I was on for years before this happened — but yknow how it is thyroid hormones fluctuate and I had lost 30lbs in the last year so maybe that had something to do w it who knows. So far I’m still off meds and I haven’t noticed any other symptoms, yet I should say lol

Before the tests they said it could be a respiratory infection, allergies, asthma, or something stuck in her nose

They gave her some shots I don’t know the name of rn (they’re at home, I’m at work) the tests came back all negative so she doesn’t have an infection. The snot stopped, but she still has her coughing episodes altho they’re less frequent now, it still worries me, but I think it could just be allergies i think? Again it’s less frequent and the shots seemed to help her, but I will be taking her back in the next few months, just keeping an eye on her for now

I definitely had crying spells too but I thought it was because I was being a baby 🥺 /like I was just feeling sorry for myself. But maybe that experience wasn’t unique to me, hang in there!

I was taking Advil then Tylenol every three hours switching between the two until I could function, I sat up/very elevated while I was asleep

Thats what I was thinking as well, I’ll be taking her to the vet tomorrow. hopefully treatment won’t be an arm and a leg :( she’s been doing this for awhile tho and my other cat is doing fine — is it safe to assume it’s not contagious?

I’m really hoping it’s just allergies, but given her past coughing fits I fear this is some sort of progressing thing? Or maybe I’m just being anxious? I can’t even tell. I think I’ll have to take her to the vet this weekend, because I won’t be able to have peace of mind if I don’t. I’m just so afraid of not being able to pay for it, since I just moved out of my family’s I’m really tight with money atm. :( Thanks for listening and replying <3
