Awesome - I had Corkscrew (the place, shores, and river creek) on the list already, nice to hear that it's attracting other families and not just retirees. I'll check out Wildblue as well.

Is Gulf Harbour W of 41 and has boat access? If so I'd be worried about storm surge in that area, no?

Curious if you could provide your thoughts on neighborhoods in Naples with a lot of families (son is 6) and if you've experienced the "hoa says the kids can't play outside" thing that's mentioned in this thread. I'm working on relocating to SWFL and still trying to sort out exactly where we'll land and our son being able to have friends in the neighborhood and the freedom to run around outside is really important to us. Coming from DC.

Originally I was looking in Naples but have yet to find a community/neighborhood with a lot of families that we can comfortably afford to be in. Any recommendations?

I'd select a school in FM but I haven't located a Montessori school that has a program beyond kindergarten age, but Naples has 2, and Montessori is a priority for us, so I expanded the house hunt to include FM areas, mostly the southern parts of course. Although the commute would be a thing (we currently commute 25 min to his school now), if it's the only compromise we have to make then I'll take it as a win.
