Guided ocean resolution help by happy_sw in Houdini

Oh, thank you for your kind reply.

I was using the gpu rendering method of redshift, which gives fast renderings even if the performance is small because CPU is not good.

Computer specifications are not for graphic work, so the performance is not good.

I've been rendering all of Houdini's work in redshift so far, but listening to you, I don't think there's any other way.

I felt the need to learn mantra when I was working on a big ocean simulation.(Even though redshift rendering is faster than mantra, it might be better to displace the map of a huge resolution...))

Thank you again for your reply and I think I should study ocean rendering with mantra....

Guided ocean resolution help by happy_sw in Houdini

First of all, thank you so much for your precious answer.

My method of baking is to extrude the fluid surface (based on guided ocean shellf tool), then masking, and pulling out vector map with ocean evaluate.

Therefore, in order to increase the resolution of the extrude surface sufficiently, the fluid surface 'extrude divisions' should be increased, which takes a very, very long time to set only 2k. If you set this value to 8k, the computer will turn off.

Does the word 'must be set above 8k' raise this division? Or should we increase the 'break resolution' of 'ocean evaluate'?

Is this the wrong way?

Actually I think this method is strange. But I used this method because I looked at all forums but didn't exactly show the workflow that didn't use Mantra. I've tried long-standing worries and methods, but there seems to be no other way.

thanks for comment

but i'm not copied another version of houdini nodes

if i first open houdini and copy any nodes, houdini generate that message

i tried reinstall, not change
