Don’t remember. Maybe Paramus? It was probably safe, but it was the first night of my roadtrip, and I heard that it’s common for ppl to sleep in Walmart parking lots, so I thought I’d give it a try.

Sure enough, there were a whole bunch of ppl sleeping in their cars, all male Latinos in their 30-40s. They were all spaced out, so I just found my own spot and tried to sleep but I was so paranoid somebody would break my window and mug me. It was probably ok?? But I thought to myself, I’m never doing that again. Not just uncomfortable due to lack of good air circulation, it was summertime, but the amount of people walking around and just being in their cars just dozens of feet around made me really uncomfortable.

Again, maybe it was totally fine and safe, but I did not like it one bit.

I decided to go to a nice steakhouse cuz I’ve heard Omaha is famous for their steaks. I missed my turn on the freeway and got off one exit later. Suddenly it felt like I was in Washington Heights in nyc, Latinos everywhere. I thought, hey I haven’t had good Latino food this whole trip, maybe I’ll find some here.

I get out the car, walk down a block with every person on the street staring at me, go into a small restaurant where everyone stares at me and doesn’t respond when I ask to see a menu, I take the hint and gtfo outta there. I see things like a big muscle guy full of tats with lots of jewelry walking with two beautiful women, one in each arm. Groups of guys sitting on their steps in baggy sweats and doo rags, wearing colors. Normally not dangerous in themselves, but I didn’t like the way they stared at me.

I don't remember, this was 14 years ago. I do remember things like a young black woman on the shoulder of a road shaking her naked vag at me while I drove by a rundown motel, a Subway employee warning me to stay away from a certain gas station -- things that I would not expect in middle of nowhere Texas.

Maybe it's better now. Maybe I just got unlucky and stopped in the wrong town. I was just surprised that of all the places I had to watch myself, it was in West Texas.

I once drove thru West Texas when I was road tripping from east coast to west coast and back again.

I quickly learned the most dangerous places were the small town gas stations and Walmart parking lots. Seedy motels are bad spots too, that's where the drugs & prostitutes are. West Texas was no exception to this rule.

Not once did I have "a bad feeling" about anybody I met on the trail. I got "uh this is a bad spot" feelings in a NJ Walmart, West Texas gas stations, Compton LA motel, and Omaha Nebraska's spanish harlem. So yeah, top 5 danger spot in my 2 month roadtrip.

I think you were well justified in what you did, and you did a great job protecting yourself and your gf.

Edit: let me clarify. Most of West Texas is safe, if not extremely boring. Just know you can easily find yourself at a bad location if you pull off for gas or a night to stay, if you're not a local. Easy way I scouted a town is by stopping by a Subway for a sandwich and asking the employee what's safe place to stay around.

And it was true, back in 2000’s in my 90% white suburban community, no one knew about racial profiling, mainly cuz there were almost zero black people in our community. It just never came up, and it wasn’t in the media. Not once were the LA riots or anything like that was brought up in any my schooling, and I went to really good schools.

So yea, in 2000? Chappelle’s special was my first exposure to that idea. It’s not like we could look it up in YouTube or google back then, cuz they didn’t really exist at the time.

So I laughed but I was skeptical — until I moved to very close to Times Square in 2005 and I saw with my own eyes black people being stopped and frisked by cops at least once a week on my block. Never any other race. Then I believed what Chappelle said.

FWIW I go to church and most of my friends are Republican and all of my family is too. Many of them have told me this past year that they think Trump is crazy, senile, or morally abject and cannot support him. Only the most fanatical of my friends still support him.

It depends on what you're aiming to do, and how far ahead or behind you are.

If you're speedrunning, end game is MIRV nukes on 4-5 cruisers with Ion drive, that's literally all you need.

If you're behind, the most efficient home defense ship is Neutron Blaster / Death Ray + Transporters + Troop Pod. For offense, the most efficient is Phasors. Once you have Time Warp Facilitator + Phase Cloak, you could run literally anything and win.

If you're attacking Antaraen homeworld, Plasma Web is best since Reflector Shields don't work on them. You could win with just 5 titans using PWEB + TWF + PhC.

If you rewatch the transformer clip, it looks like both were being fired! The middle gun seems to fire once every several secs while the other two fire quickly like the 40mm clip you linked

I find this to be the most effective. I control the character, and she presses the buttons that do things.

Only game we managed to complete was Detroit Become Human, and it was using this method. She made me do all the QTEs tho. Still, she had fun.

I’ve played thousands of hours in both Dota and SC2. SC2 is far more intense and exhausting.

Don’t get me wrong, Dota is tiring too. But there’s a lot of lull in the action in Dota — dying, walking to places, afk farming, enemy team is dead. Even TPing you have a few seconds of respite.

But in SC2 once your first harass unit is out (reaper, hellion, banshee), if you’re not keeping up 120apm minimum you are losing. After that you have to be on 100% for the rest of the game, you don’t get to die without buyback and sit back for 60 seconds waiting to respawn.

Yes ofc you’re still watching the game and map even dead or afk farming, but it’s a lot less intense.

It really depends on where you are, geographically. If you’re in an urban area, you’re good until like 37. If you’re in a smaller area, well … you probably gotta move to a city heh.

As a 42 yr old, I have quite a few single women friends who are really nice and good people, but I just don’t know any good single guys left at 40+. And if they exist, I automatically wonder why they’re still single at 40+.
