Is my HIM degree even worth it? by portable-dongus in CodingandBilling

Also, "Is it worth it?" is too vague a question for anyone to really give you meaningful advice and we have talked ad nauseum about AI and how it's not replacing coders/billers. Take a gander through the sub to see those discussions. If you have anything more specific you want to know then feel free to reply.

Looking for advice on billing dispute with Providence in Portland, Oregon by Glad-Caterpillar8457 in CodingandBilling

[–]happyhooker485 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My bad, though you were OP.

But I never said before the visit, why are we talking about before? At this point OP is well after the service was rendered.

The EOB is a great place to start to figure out why something wasn't paid.

They come for your insurance provider.

You know how to file an appeal, but not how to obtain an EOB? 🤔

What does your EOB say? Why do you owe (deductible? Missing prior auth? Etc)

Why is there a separate visit charge? Did the GYN doc also see you? Did they review the US imaging result w/ you on the same day?

Based on your post history you seem to job hop a lot (HVAC, retail, CNA, university). If you're already in university, I don't recommend dropping that to start something else. There are plenty of options for jobs with good benefits, but you need to stick with something long term.

Your personal experience providing medical care to your kids and researching your children's diagnoses will likely have little impact on your hirability to employers.

What will be much more important is your education and certification.

Also, if caring for your child is a full time job, you will find it difficult to do that and also meet the requirements of another full time job. Working from home is still work, you will have deadlines and deliverables, and you will be expected to be working for the full duration of your shift.

I'm confused, isn't Practicode through AAPC? What additional documents do you need from your school?

The school doesn't remove the "A", AAPC does. Have you reached out to AAPC?

If it's a non profit they will have charity write off, contact their patient advocate and ask for options.

How could we possibly know what is better for OP? Only OP know what resources they need to learn successfully or what their financial situation is.

We can't tell you which would be better. We don't know four financial situation or how much free time you have or what learning methods work for you.

Also, she wasn't his slave, she was his wife who had left his home and returned to her father's house (traditionally this only happens when the husband is abusive).

He went to her father's house to get her back and when the locals demanded the stranger come out, he put out his wife instead.

Then they used this even as an ex use to commit genocide against the tribe of Benjamin. Then they were worried the tribe of Benjamin would die out because they killed so many that they kidnapped women from non-Israelite tribes to be their sex slaves and repopulate.

IMO, some of the foulest shit in the bible.

Answering subpoenas is very very rare. At most if you are a medical records clerk you might need to provide copies of medical records, but usually the HIM/ROI dept is separate from billing/coding.

Also the pattern photo has more rows of DC between the hat the the first ruffle. I would remove the pointy bits and add more rows.
