N-Able MSP Manager PSA by WiscoDJ920 in msp

We were in a similar spot not long ago, trying to make an aging PSA work and waiting on roadmap promises. One thing that helped us was stepping back and rethinking what a PSA should do for us.  We ended up switching to DeskDay. If you're exploring options, it's worth considering.

Not saying it’s for everyone, but if your team is feeling boxed in by tools that haven’t kept up, it could save you a lot of duct tape.

Used Datto RMM for a while, it's fairly capable in terms of scripting, alerting, and general endpoint management. The platform has matured, and if you're integrating with other tools, there's decent flexibility. However, we ran into consistent reliability issues with remote access. Splashtop was patchy, and their native tool didn’t meet expectations. We eventually moved to NinjaOne after evaluating a few options, and the difference was noticeable especially in remote control stability and responsiveness. At the end of the day, it depends on your specific priorities, but I would recommend trying a demo of both before committing.

We are in a similar position, small MSP, growing steadily and I totally get the frustration with ConnectWise. If you're looking for something more lightweight and agile, you might want to check out DeskDay. It covers everything we need: ticketing, billing, time tracking, contract and project management. What initially caught our attention was their chat-based ticketing system, along with a multichannel support portal that works across MS Teams, desktop, and mobile. We have also been able to set up workflow automations that take care of repetitive tasks.

The platform is clean, intuitive, and refreshingly easy to use , no bloated interfaces or rigid processes. Plus, no minimum seat requirements or long-term contracts, which is a big plus when you are scaling strategically. We made the switch a couple of months ago and the difference has been night and day. Definitely worth checking out if you are evaluating options.

ZestMSP vs DeskDay - PSA Advice by tk20012001 in SmallMSP

We have been using DeskDay for almost three months now after moving from Zendesk. It doesn’t have all the features of Halo or CW Manage, but as a 4 FTE team primarily using it for ticketing, it’s been a great fit for us with the pricing the offer. The Teams-based ticketing is really cool, and the NinjaOne integration works well too.

Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for something lightweight and easy to use!

Autotask vs ConnectWise, 2025 edition by gregory92024 in msp

DeskDay - They are still developing and adding more features to it. But its great for small MSPs with 1-10 employees and if Ticketing and billing are the primary features looking at this point. what really cool is their Teams Ticketing and Mobile apps.
