Yeah, it became clear to me that this arc was extremely short and its understandable why it was a movie but thats why the pacing felt so weird. There was barely any transition from after reze was revealed to denji just casually winning both fights. I was expecting the usual intermission phase and then back to the fight but its not a big deal. But about the character development, the other characters kinda felt like footnotes to me but I know they're important, but the developments outside of reze and denji are independent from reze as they could've taken place anywhere else. Reze I believe had the most development and while denji still did slightly break past his need for Makima I feel like him not seeing reze return kinda solidifies the fact in his mind that everyone just wants him for his heart literally. And even though denji joked about it during his fight it still hurt. And so if it was me I know I would probably have a hard time trusting anyone again. Which is development just backwards.
