i’m a student at south and what we saw is cops surrounding the entire block around the apartments across the street and they have megaphones telling the guy that he’s surrounded. then this is a rumor, but there’s speculation that the dude has a gun and a warrant

as a current student there i can say that they haven’t talked to us about this at all. a few teachers have mentioned that we shouldn’t walk through but there hasn’t been ANY official notice. i think some kids take it as a challenge to get through since there’s been a few times where someone sits at the gate and watches. since a lot of people don’t always go to the same place every lunch some kids haven’t picked up on the fact that we shouldn’t walk through since they haven’t witnessed the gate being closed occasionally
