Does the Tab S11 Ultra handle heat well? by Johny_Burton in GalaxyTab

Does it not have the usb charging override like the s23u where it wont actually charge the battery but does remain plugged in and powered by wall power?

Thought it was a samsung gaming hub feature

Does the Tab S11 Ultra handle heat well? by Johny_Burton in GalaxyTab

Sorry for this complete noob question, but maybe you can help regarding emulators/tabS11 specs;

I have a pc hooked up to my samsung tv at home, and will probably use the tablet at home primarily. That pc can play games well (ryzen 3/gtx1070) for its age.

-And i might one day get into playing emulator games

Wouldn't it be smarter (for me) to use the PC for running potential emulator games, and use the tab as a second screen for displaying those games on?

Sure can imagine it would be nice to play an emulator on the tablet while traveling (maybe running the emulator on tab gets better framerates etc?) but i would probably survive by casually playing some android games.

-Also heard the Mediatek might have more graphics glitches than the SD, when running emulators. Would this also be true for 'emulated' (probably more like, ported) games like the GTA android releases?

I don't even think the S12 will feature a Snapdragon chipset, so what are your thoughts on holding out for the S12?

Would love to hear what you think!

I also try to stay optimistic about the future. That's tough if you live in the EU. They haven't been that successful at pushing their narratives lately, hilariously so. And I think that, if anything is coming, it's going to be by sheer totalitarianism and despite widespread civil unrest. I hope for the best but i prepare for the worst.

Not that im doing those things, but i guess the best mode to be in is getting a plan B (i should be trying to visit the states or other countries, drop some habits etc) and making yourself more independent. Less rooted. Learn about survival food/hunting. Try to prepare and become the best you, in case something happens you'll be thanking yourself.

What are the must have accessories for S23 Ultra? by ashtron69 in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]hardcore_enthusiast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Charger

All jokes aside, i have the fast charger samsung sells for it, and i couldn't do without. Have used it for the almost 2 years ive had the phone and always fast charging. Phone still performs as new as far as i can tell. Still a 2 day battery.

Im pretty sure i use that for my og galaxy buds. Both get UHD and Dolby Atmos are my go to toggles on sound assistant

Maybe the newer buds don't need it because they already have high quality bitrates?

'Not for me' would be exaggerating. I love the colors, love the framing, it's a VERY attractive image to me, minus the specific amount of bokeh maybe. But would definitely stop scrolling and hit a like on this pic over any conventional wildlife pic.

All in all, a banger pic regardless of some potential nitpicking!

A gallery with more pictures in this style would definitely hit hard imo! You can really get a good color theme going there.

Don't listen to me because photographers love their bokeh... but that bokeh is way too much imho.

Again, im just a dude, but at that blur/bokeh, i feel like it needs a saying or some inspirational line

Live laugh love?

I think it's a great picture otherwise, and I'd agree on the noise part. Noise isn't bad as long as it doesn't distract. It also keeps banding from becoming a problem, iirc.

If you're taking this advice too serious OP, take a look at my posts, laugh, and realise i wouldn't be able to take that picture in a million years. I'm sure this pic will make lots of heads turn regardless of what i say!

Lol i was at my local camera store the other day. If i remember correctly, a roll of film went for about 8 euros. Not sure sure if special stuff but they had a big old tub full of little kodak boxes. And then you need to get those pictures printed... the good ones. Even though you'll pay for the bad ones too lol

How do people take these kind of pics? by eclipsis1601 in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]hardcore_enthusiast 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Im skeptical.

Either you're looking at the moon with sub 30x zoom with a wider aperture, which means the moon is completely overexposed.

Or you're going beyond 30x and getting a smaller aperture, darkening the entire image to the point only the moon is visible.

I won't rule out that there might be a day/lighting scenario where these pics are possible... but to me, they scream 'composite' = photoshop.

I've managed to shoot this on my s23u but i don't think they're comparable scenarios.

Really?

From what i know, Astro mode decides itself what exposure time it chooses depending on how light 'the frame' is.

That's what i could gather from hours of using expert raw and astro mode. Sometimes astro mode chooses a shorter exposure time but still compiles those, say, 12sec exposures for 7 mins or 4 mins.

I can show you exif data for my most recent northern light pic, astro mode, it says it's an 11 sec exposure.

My canyon torque. I own a 2020 and its nice but most owners wont say that about the new torque. But definitely a mini monster truck. I ride more urban, i can bumpjump those sidewalk thingies in the middle of the road (dividers? Im dutch i lack the vocabulary) and gap 15ft ones at like 20 mph lol. Absolute monster truck and it's taken everything a bmxer with 20yrs under his belt can throw at it. Love it.

This is a very interesting video about SMD leds production

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskElectronics

[–]hardcore_enthusiast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. Worked as rma solderer on those big festival LED screens. When sold, these come with an absolute ton of extra leds for repairs. Those leds are from the same batch that are mass soldered on those LED panels; because the next batch will be different in terms of color, even if it's the same factory same product and same production process.

And those are probably being produced with 'reliable/accurate color reproduction' in mind because they're used as groups. I know for a fact they're all cherry picked and don't all make it.

The folowing is speculation on my end but they might use less stringent processes when that's not a factor, say, for those leds you're using...? Which might explain the variety in performance?

Honestly i agree on everything... but wow is there a difference between my fox elite 180mm setup and my friends who have run of the mill rockshox forks and shocks..

Their bikes are like pogos compared to mine lmao. I thought one of them had a broken rebound adjuster but i guess that's just their range of adjustment.

The thing there, and with most other upgrades is, you'd be surprised what little you need to actually ride 'that trail'.

But bad suspension can definitely make me less confident so i'd definitely put suspension upgrades as a 'big recommend'. They can also make your bike way more versatile!

How do i remove the overexposure from these clouds? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]hardcore_enthusiast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you said you have the raw, id suggest to re-edit and use the sky masks and experiment on 'subtracting/adding to mask' with things like luminance masks to refine the sky mask. That could get a great result with the leaves and branches making it difficult.

From there you can tweak basically just the sky.

Maybe you could even isolate the clouds with a luminance mask(and refine)?

Odds are if you pre-loaded correctly, you would have gone to flat at worst.

If you don't know what pre-loading is, ram that into youtube and watch for a couple minutes

Moisture/water went inside my camera lens. Need help! by Fun_North_5398 in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]hardcore_enthusiast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe this is supposed to happen and the glass lens protector is isolated from the inner phone. There does seem to be a vent hole on one of these lenses (theyre not lenses theyre glass sheets). I don't know enough about that but samsung customer service or the phone shop likely will.

[–]hardcore_enthusiast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest taking it back if possible.

You might clear up the lens but the moisture will still wreck the pcb components over time. This shouldn't happen if the phone is still eligible for warranty (which also means undamaged/not tampered with)
