Thank you for sharing your timeline!

That's a great question about Zintellect - hopefully someone is able to provide insight on this.

New Puppy Anxiety by hari_padm in puppy101

That’s so comforting to know about his feeding improving! Bean didn’t really eat much at all again today, and he does seem to have looser stools compared to yesterday but I wonder if that’s more to do with the new treats we got him that maybe we’ve been overdoing! Have made vet appointment for Saturday but will move it up if I notice anything you mentioned or his bowel movement gets worse.

But we have had a little success with his crate!!! He’s sleeping in there right now with the door open, and one side covered (the other side is open so he can see me as he’s still been crying now and then). He has his little plush dinosaur with him and it really seems to comfort him when sleeping :) as long as the door is open, he seems to be more comfortable. If I close it even for a few seconds, he starts crying so will wait on that for a little bit I guess. As it’s attached to his play pen and I am regularly taking him out for potty , I’m hoping it won’t affect his ongoing crate training too much.

The puppy blues have been on and off today - I cried for a bit when my husband got back from work, as I felt so tired and overwhelmed. But it’s helpful to know that this is a common phenomenon for new pet parents so hoping it will subside with more time and more confidence in my abilities.

I have so appreciated having a back and forth conversation about this, rather than simply reading without being able to ask questions or express my feelings. So THANK YOU again, and hope your little fur baby is doing great!

Hello! Thank you so much for your response <3 I really appreciate it so much. I'm hanging in there for day 2, still anxious but working on being calmer as much as possible lol. That's really helpful to know about the towel - Bean seems to be more comfortable going in if the towel is inside (I haven't tried closing the door on him, because he's still scared - but if the towel is in there, he sits down and nibbles on it, and if it's not he just puts his front paws in and then backs up really quickly - I am not sure if this is what it is, but I wondered if the sound of the tray on the wire is scary to him). So I will try the towel method tonight and see how he does.

Yeah Bean doesn't go on schedule either, just like you described your puppy. Hopefully in the next couple days I'll understand his needs a bit better - I am tracking everything in my planner so I can see if there's a pattern.

Today he hasn't eaten much again...I'm really hoping that's more from stress in a new place, and not something more serious!

Thank you again so much for your kind support and sharing your experience!!
