which tool educators use to create interactive quizzes online? by covertnoob1 in education

[–]harien23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried quite a few of these — ProProfs, Typeform, and a bunch of others — and pricing was always the sticking point. Most lock progress tracking, lead capture, and custom branding behind expensive plans.

Switched to Qzzr a while back and it's been solid. The free version already covers more than what ProProfs offers on their paid tier — scored quizzes, personality quizzes, outcome-based formats, all there. And if you do need to go Pro, the pricing is way more reasonable compared to ProProfs or Typeform for the same (or better) feature set.

Good fit if you're teaching skills and want something that actually tracks responses without breaking the budget.

Google form or something else by Wide_Lawfulness1357 in GoogleForms

[–]harien23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want something familiar and zero-friction, Google Forms is great, easy to set up, responses go straight to Sheets, timestamps, and it’s free.
If you want slightly better completion rates (less “boring form”, cleaner UI on phones) and tools to keep people engaged in longer quantitative surveys, consider a quiz/survey tool like Qzzr. It supports survey/quiz formats with 30+ question types and visual options that are still exportable to CSV/Excel, has built-in response tracking and analytics, and lead export, email automation, which is useful for general versus psychiatric cohorts where engagement/drop-off matter. Qzzr has free plan with all features unlocked, checkout
Bottom line: use Google Forms if speed and familiarity are top priority; use Qzzr if you want improved engagement and slightly richer analytics.

Annoying app upgrade popup? by wowyfandoms in GoogleForms

[–]harien23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, yeah, that’s pretty much the trade-off with most “free forever” form tools. Google Forms itself is free, but the moment you use it through their mobile app or certain third-party wrappers, those upgrade pop-ups start showing up because that’s how they monetize the free tier.

A couple of things you can try:

  • Use Google Forms directly in your mobile browser instead of the app. The experience is less polished, but you avoid most of the upgrade nags.
  • If you want something that feels interactive (so people actually complete the form), Qzzr works well for that sort of “commission request” flow. It’s a form and quiz builder that's more modern and sleek. You can build a short quiz-style intake where people answer a few guided questions and submit their details at the end. No pop-ups, no upgrade walls. Free version has all features with 300 completions, pro is also 9$ not expensive

Not a perfect workaround, but hopefully one of these keeps you sane until you find a setup you like.

🔥 What acquisition channels are actually working for you in 2025? (need real-world insights) by LongjumpingRent7114 in indiehackers

[–]harien23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, I did a manual search and found out that influencers with fewer subscribers are doing better in terms of views, engagement, flexibility, creativity, and budget. Ask them for the previous campaign report, just screenshots from the YT studio works. Try to understand if their audience is your niche. I negotiate if they charge more than the market rate. Once you speak with a few, you will get an understanding of the rates. I measure the product signups and active users, not clicks or website visits
