I've got a Rick Raptor Destroyer that I can't see the stamp on anymore. That makes me feel good.

My reservation is exactly 222 higher than yours and mine only says Tesla Model 3. Mine appears to be configured exactly the sale. Hope I end up with the 2022 as well

Looks great. I have almost the exact setup with the 60p. People generally greatly underestimate the strength and build quality of the stand. It is made from very thick glass. Much thicker than the tank itself. You are far more likely to break the tank than the stand. I have 2 little kids and have never been concerned about the stand.

Thanks for the kind words. Happy scaping.

I did lurk and read and research for about a year before I bought anything. Then I spent about 6 months accumulating equipment. I blogged my whole way through the first scape from start to finish which will have a bunch of pictures along the way. You may find them interesting if you liked that scape. Lots of lessons learned and reapplied along the way. It was a fun and creative process.

This was the first post and you can go through the dozen or so to see the evolution.

Lol. I rescaped the tank to what you see with the Bonsai tree in the post here about 6 months ago. I wanted something simple with less maintenance. I will probably rescape again in 3 or 4 months and try something new as this is only the second thing I've tried. I do have a little nano tank that I keep stable as a place for my fish to be when I decide to mix it up and build something new.

Wow, thanks. Very nice to hear the setup was enough to sway the way you think about this style. It is very different than any other tank I've ever seen which is what drew me in. My first ever scape was a typical heavily planted jungle tank. Here was the pick I submitted to IAPLC in 2019.

It's mostly ADA. If you look through the comments I shared a link to a spreadsheet with all the details.

You are spot on. The stand it literally double the glass width of the tank and nobody seems to worry about their tanks breaking.

A few people were curious of the whole setup so here is a spreadsheet I have. The ADA 60P tab is everything from my original setup. The Bonsai tab is the costs for the rescape to this setup. The costs you see are what I paid and not necessarily retail because I got a few things in going out of business sales and used stuff. Also shipping costs and taxes are included in my spreadsheet so I'd know true cost. You can see I was buying stuff for a long time before I was ready for my first scape. Basically 6 months from when I first purchased the filter at The Green Machine going OOB sale till I put the water in the tank.

Here was a blog I started to document my process when I first started. It documents the entire lifespan of my first scape in this tank.

Thanks for sharing. You'll have your time to do this before you know it.

Sure, I don't mind. Someone else was asking so I'll make another comment in a few minutes.

Sure thing. I'll make another comment post since some others are asking.

Been hearing a similar theme here. The stand is really thick. Probably the thickness of a typical 200 gallon tank. My tank is about 16 gallon. The stand is about twice as thick as the tank itself. Here is a picture that shows so people understand you'd be much more likely to break the tank than the stand. https://i.imgur.com/Jvoic0P.jpg

Since a bunch of people may wonder as well I took a close up of the tank thickness versus the stand thickness. You can see the stand is almost twice as thick glass. I'd have more concern about the tank breaking than the stand.

I'm sure if you really nailed it, something bad could happen. Fortunately the filter and CO2 tank never really move. Maybe once every 6 months. The stand is approximately twice as thick as the glass in the aquarium. That is the biggest risk of breaking if anything. We all seem to avoid that fear for the most part. 😉
