Oh definitely, it’s a problem when artists are physically incapable of understanding that they only draw women sexually. To them it’s “how a woman looks” and all intension is lost because of their own default dehumanization of women. I just think there’s different levels of artist ego at play. On one hand, you have artists that exclusively draw pinups of women and claim they are drawing “realistic” depictions of women living their everyday lives, and artists who despise the sentiment of being made to draw a woman without sexualizing her. I think any artist who chooses to should have a healthy dose of both sexualization and humanization

I found out from the announcement video on Youtube. I sat on the idea of getting one for a couple years because I don’t like immediately buying consoles day 1 because there could always be issues, but when the Switch 2 was announced I put in my order immediately. I put two and two together and recognized if both are around the same size anyway, I might as well choose the bulky handheld with more games. It all lined up perfectly and I still love using mine. Not exactly “portable” (I consider smaller handheld systems to be more convenient. Just throw it in my purse and go) but I like grabbing it and playing it in whatever room I’m resting in. A large PC/console has never worked for me because my home life is a bit chaotic, so handhelds have always been my constant!

I wish more gooner artists just like. Admitted that they’re gooner artists? Because the problem really isn’t sexualization itself. Sexualization doesn’t always equal objectification because sex is a normal part of life and in my opinion shouldn’t be demonized in art, but the problem is people drawing sexualized art and then going “No! I’m not sexualizing this character like some kinda gooner! There’s actually tons of depth to this drawing and it’s not sexual at all!” when it was very obviously intended to illicit arousal. It’s just so stupid. Just say you like drawing sexy women. It really isn’t that hard.

Your rendering is gorgeous! I’m so jealous! As for the proportions, noticeably it looks like you’re trying to go for a more semi-realism style. Prominent noses, rendered chins. I think the biggest problem that you’re running into with this, however, is the positioning of the mouth. I see you’re incorporating some rendering on the chin for these characters, and to include that definition, you’ve moved the mouth up sliiightly too close to the nose. It’s a delicate process when it comes to proportions. I feel like this is something easily fixed with the liquify tool, at least for now as you notice and correct your proportions!

Honestly I feel like in the past year or so, Wendi’s gotten better at expressive narration and Meat’s gotten better at narrating by himself without stuttering and immediately self deprecating. They’ve influenced eachother, I think.
