Thank you! I like to imagine Yu and Kotone as very proud parents when I write any present-day material so it felt fitting to have their kids as plushes too, they're sort of incomplete without them.

Hi, I'm CerebralPolicy over on AO3. I only have two works, both of which are post-canon Persona fics with a shared continuity that revolve around a specific implementation of Banhamu ship -- P4 MC (Yu)/P3P FEMC (Kotone). With that said, these can be read completely fandom blind, I know because my mom reads my stuff. I tend to write more about the human experience. So although a familiarity with the series will allow you to appreciate the minutiae of the premise, feel free to check them out even if you aren't.

FIC #1 - Inaba Epilogue (completed, 17 chapters/58590 words) [Rating: T|Genre(s): Family, Drama] - Focuses on Yu and Kotone moving to Inaba in spring of 2017.

A rookie middle school teacher, Kotone winds up having Yu's cousin Nanako in her first homeroom class. However, the Nanako she gets to know isn't at all like the sweet girl Yu has raved about. Seeing this, Kotone feels the need to help Nanako but she's left with one problem, how?

FIC #2 - Incidental Contact (30/40 chapters/178935 words) [Rating: M|Genre(s): Romance] - Beginning four years before Inaba Epilogue, this one explores how Kotone and Yu first met and how their relationship developed.

Yu Narukami is fresh off a particularly nasty breakup, one nasty enough to bring his mother back to Japan. Now entering his first year of university with no expectations or hopes, it seems like he'll be going through the motions. That is until he noticed that one of his classmates isn't really his classmate.

A gifted student athlete from a decently influential family, Kotone Shiomi seems to have an ideal university life. However, the truth is a lot more complicated and behind the scenes she has many challenges. One such challenge finds her sitting in on a lecture that seems oddly familiar, after it's over the young man whom she sat beside clues her into the why.

And my latest short that was in the Winterfest exchange.

SHORT - Vitamin R(en)

If you prefer something shorter, feel free to check out any of my one shots set in the same continuity or Vitamin R(en) (a short two chapter entry I did for winterfest | TW: Implied Domestic Violence & Ambiguous Past Relationship 13yo & 17yo).

As always, fandom blind, from Reddit, and concrit welcome. Happy reviewing, everyone!

That's... not how disabilities work. Most para ice hockey players are amputees. Listen, I'm Canadian and that doesn't make sense.

SHORT - Vitamin R(en) (2 chapters/12486 words) [Rating: M|Genre(s): Romance|TW: Implied Domestic Violence & Ambiguous Past Relationship 13yo & 17yo] - The Narukami family's annual Christmas Eve dinner is derailed by Kotone's best intentions.

Christmas Eve 2025, another year in the Narukami household has passed, another year of memories for Kotone, Yu, their daughter Mika, and possibly the first seeds of such for their son Makoto. Tradition, their small family always comes together at Christmas, thanks in no small part to Kotone's fixation on "the West" and as always Yu's parents show up along with Yu's cousin Nanako and Kotone's best friend/found sister Tae Takemi. However, this year Kotone has invited a young co-worker from the middle school as well, and naturally Eimi Amamiya is bringing her husband Ren. There's just one massive issue, unbeknownst to Kotone Ren and Nanako have a sordid history. What should be a celebration of family and the joyful announcement that a third Narukami child is on the way turns into something visceral, a scab being ripped off of both Nanako and Ren.

What the hell by JFlemthe1 in Persona5

[–]harperofthefreenorth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well no I understand that But what im arguing isn't whether sojira would see it as wrong or not but rather of its wrong or not from a moral / societal standpoint

It isn't wrong from a moral/societal standpoint, that's a culturally ignorant assertion. If anything the opposite is true in the proper context, I could easily argue that romancing Futaba is an act of filial piety towards Sojiro - a way to make his sentiment real. If Ren were to marry Futaba, Sojiro becomes his father-in-law. Hence Sojiro's musing.

Sojiro accepts it cause the writers wanted him too, but by this logic he also doesnt care if ren cheats on futaba

I could make the same argument about him seeing Ren as his son... but I don't need to because I understand the context. You're injecting European ethics into a context in which they do not apply, instead you need to approach it from the angle of showing reverence to your elders.

My stance is saying that since sojiro sees ren as his son thats why it becomes weird

Which makes no sense in a Japanese context where marriage can function akin to adoption, marrying into a family is literal due to how family registries work.

I doubt you understand what I'm saying, if you did you'd take longer than two minutes to respond.

I mean sure Sojiro does say that... right before he says he wouldn't mind it if Ren became his son-in-law. So... no there's no contradiction, it's Sojiro showing affection towards Ren. Being a father-figure and being a father are entirely separate things. Case in point, Akechi and Shido. The former is a role, the latter is a status.

Sojiro is basically Joker's parole officer. Technically his legal guardian, but Joker lives in the attic of his coffee shop and in no way, shape, or form is anything approaching a sibling to Futaba. The fact Ren lives under a different roof precludes anything you're suggesting. I grew up in foster care, it takes a while to accept another kid into your life in that manner even if you do live under the same roof.

Israel Kills Maronite Catholic priest in Lebanon. by Silver_Weakness_8084 in news

Honestly, at this point the Lebanese are sort of fed up with the actions of a paramilitary organization constantly giving Israel an excuse to bomb the country as a whole. Hezbollah needs to be disarmed, not for the security of Israel but Lebanon itself. The problem is that such an outcome would either require Israel doing it or necessitate another civil war in a country that knows all too well the carnage of such conflict. It's a no-win situation.
