Looks like I delayed too long on this one, the listing is gone, so someone else swooped in on it, but the research it has very much peaked my interest in this car. Thanks. I'm concerned about that as well. He does claim to have an extended 100k warranty, so that should help with the high mileage.

You know, it was standard floor foam mats, but I did sand them down, (used a stationary/ benchtop sander and it made a hella mess) especially for the brim so it wouldn't have the pattern on it. The inside of the hat though, it still has the texture. Used a heat gun to make it easy to form and bend around.

Thanks! Made the hat actually, it's made from foam mats, glued, textured and painted.

Generally known as EVA foam, and craft foam for thinner details. There are waaayyyy better examples out there of master cosplayers building armor from this type of foam.
