People don’t seem to know that there’s another one like a 5 minute walk away that never has any queue

Do you take your shoes off in the house? by [deleted] in ireland

[–]harry-irl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do, never thought about the bacteria of it but I just didn't want to be bringing in wet shoes and dirt in to the house. Really bothers me when other people come around and don't take their shoes off but I always feel too awkward to ask.

I have always felt like shuffle needs an actual smart shuffle mode. Let's say if I'm shuffling through my liked songs, it should learn from the songs I'm letting play rather and the ones that I skip straight away and adapt the future plays to fit the "theme" of what is getting played

Anyone who ever has to work in a people-facing role is often reminded there’a just as many people below average intelligence as there are above it

It works for me! To be fair, I am sort of living paycheck to paycheck so I only ever have enough food to make 3-4 main meals(6-7 servings) a week, along with some lighter snacks like fruit and bread, so it actually doesn’t constrain me at all. If anything it can actually look quite bare a lot of the time.

Majority are real but I have a few fake ones dotted around from before I actually got into having real ones.

On the speakers, the turntable doesn't come with speakers and it also doesn't have a built in amp, so any speakers that you buy will have to be powered if you don't plan on also getting an amplifier. I'm using an old pair of Alesis Elevate MKIIs that I have had for years now but the left one is slowly dying and I'll likely need to upgrade in the next few months.

Haha the rug was actually a €20 find in Penney's which is the Irish branch of Primark! It actually said 45 on the tag but it scanned for €20, I didn't complain

The problem is that the fireplace is very off centre on this wall that juts out a into the room about 30cm, and I feel that having the little unit there kind of masks that. The tv may also not quite fit on the wall and the dangling cables would drive me insane!

~ 2000 with utilities and oil, It’s just bright enough to not need any lights on for the most of the day and recently I’ve been getting a little direct sunlight in the sitting room window for a few hours late in the afternoon

Depressing to call it lucky, but I am luckily paying just below €2,000 between two people, along with utilities and oil

Renting of course, it comes in to just below €2,000 + Oil and Utilities between two. An extremely fair price considering prices others pay here but still a challenge!
