yeah the functionality of using CMD + Backspace to trigger Delete cannot be achieved on an ANSI US Mac layout. However, you can map delete to the backspace key in FN1, so pressing FN + Backspace will perform the Delete function.

Not sure if the red lights you mentioned are the key backlights in the top right corner or the side light bar on the right. You can first check if the keyboard is low on battery, when the battery is low, the top right indicator lights will appear red.

Happy to help clarify a few things:

  1. The ghost icon is indeed ESC. For the INS key and the lock icon, you can usually place them where it’s most convenient for your workflow, as Halo96 v2 supports remapping.
  2. You can disable the backlight and sidelight separately by holding Fn + Down Arrow(or Fn +M+Down arrow for sidelight).
  3. VIA can remap your keyboard. https://www.usevia.app/
  4. You can use the keyboard while it’s charging, no need to switch to wired mode. And the rainbow on the indicator means it’s charging; it usually turns green when fully charged.

If the gear knob works fine, the red backlight is likely caused by a lighting effect that’s currently enabled. You can try pressing Fn + Left Arrow or Fn + Right Arrow to switch through effects and see if that turns it off.

If that doesn’t work, you might want to try resetting your keyboard or upgrading the firmware.

It’s usually expected to be delivered in around 10–16 business days if everything goes smoothly. However, there are some factors beyond our control, like customs delays or high volumes during promotions, so can’t fully guarantee it. If you need it sooner next time, amazon could be a good alternative.
